got my first major problem....car wouldnt start! had to use jumper cable...apparently, battery went dead...brought the unit to shop...confirmed, battery was dead....they couldnt explain...no problem daw with alternator...they said that the battery may have been defective...so they replaced it with a new one....under warranty...no cost to me...

btw....have had my sta fe for a little over 1 yr....

that's good to hear. no penalty on the SF quality...

Kumusta na mga bro, medyo matagal din ako nawala dito sa forum ah. Ang haba na pala ng thread na ito, nakakapagod maghabol sa pagbabasa. Ang dami na namang new owners of SF, welcome po sa inyong lahat, siguradong di kayo magsisisi sa ride nyo.

Count me in sa EB sir yuichi, mukhang tayong apat uli magkikitakita. Sana makasama yung iba, sirs C190, dragonheart, nels, potpot2 (kung nakuha mo na unit mo), at iba pa.

Last Sunday, nagamit ko na rin finally sa NLEX ang SF ko. Sarap ng takbo, nakakagigil paliparin. Kaso medyo umuulan kaya 100 ~ 130kph lang takbo.

if the dealers tells you that there is no alarm you can email HARI and give them the dealer and the name of the person...

i believe that as satisfied Santa Fe owners we must do our share also to help HARI in correcting erroneous information being passed on by their dealers...

Got my new HU installed.. bought this in hongkong last week. unfortunately, when i saw the stores I only had an hour time to do the shopping so i wasn't able to see the others that has steering remote function for the SF. Napilitan na ako bumili dahil nakulitan na sakin yung salesman kakatawad.

Ito lang maganda sa Hyundai, pag may problema ka sa unit mo or sa CASA mo e parating mo lang sa HARI & sigurado maaayos ang problema mo. Ang STAREX namin e HARI technician na mismo ang gagawa kasi nde maayos ng casa nila ang problema ng auxiliary fan, 6x na siya nasira. Sorry po medyo OT.

Sir take the MTR and alight at sham shui po, then take exit at Ap Liu Street. Parang raon yan, but buy it from those with fixed stores. Yes, evertyhing's included, camera (w/ led), powered tv antenna, remote and extension cables for the camera (dont forget this). Happy hunting.

Hi Chuaa, from the hmaservice website, I read that there was a TSB on this but it was for the 2006-2007 Tucson equipped with the M280 MP3 audio player. The battery got discharged after 2-3 days if the car is not started or driven. I wonder if this is the same problem you encountered.

Yung unit ko kasi ay wala daw alarm according to Hyundai, pero yung kay DragonHeart na gas version meron.

Hi C190, yung sa unit ko, if I used the key to open the door from outside, di rin nag-a-alarm. Pero if I am seated inside and activated the alarm, then I opened the door from inside after 30 seconds, nag-a-alarm naman. Meron pa kayang kulang sa alarm setup natin?

from my experience with our other diesel cars (not SF) we get better mileage with Petreon Diesel as compared to Shell...

Go for Petron or Shell fuels. I dont trust those from Caltex and other brand that dont have a local refinery here. Puro imports, pasalin salin sa mga rusty tankers and in the end those impurities will stuck in your car's engine.

Hi DragonHeart/Oilman, thanks sa feedback ninyo. I have been using Petron and Shell Diesel the past 3 fill-ups. I'll try to stick with one brand and observe. Medyo matagal nga lang siguro bago ko ma-ki-kita ang difference since uma-abot ng 1 month ang isang full tank ko.

nope....started having problems probably 1 or 2 weeks prior...hard starting in the AM...got worst until it finally gave in...thats when i had to put a jumper....i use the car dailly....

Sir, yes it got tuner, AM/FM.

Bluetooth: I'm using a Palm Treo and it works well. Lagi kong gamit. Also tried other handsets i.e Motorola V3X and 2 models of Nokia N series (dont know exact model) and no problems with it.
