My Extended Warranty Manual has yet to be given to me too.
Sabi ng S.A. ko ibibigay daw nila once I had my 1000km PMS.

Sabi din ng SA ko na WALANG INSTALLED ALARM SYSTEM ang SF.
Only keyless Entry.

The Blinking Led on top of the Dashboard is just a sensor of the Keyless Entry System. 5,000 daw pakabit sa kanila ng Alarm System.

Walang jo naman. daming hidden costs.

Went to my dealer today. they explain extended service booklet will be given to me after 2-3 weeks. the GM showed me extended warranty booklet for those units released in july and august. i'll just wait for 3 weeks and see what happens. Had my speed-sensing doorlock activated at 25kph. thanks guys.

Does our SF have alarm? the SA said no alarm but keyless entry only. i tried to open door via key after pressing lock button on remote. no alarm sounded? Is it my unit or all new SFs does not come with alarm?

Yung sa akin ay may alarm. Tried several times by using the key, the audible alarm(Horn) sounded. Baka hindi pa naka-setup yung alarm mo. Better bring it to your casa to re-program.

Another cool feature on our SF is the warning/beeping sound if we forgot to disengage the footbrake and started to drive-off

Standard na ang 5 years warranty for all Hyundai vehicles sold starting July 1, 2007.

Your SA does not know what he is selling. May built-in anti theft anf SF! It activates 30 seconds after arming. It uses the car horn for alarm. Maybe yours is not activated or your SA want you to buy from them.

i talked to the service technician this afternoon and he was sure that the SF does not have alarm (only keyless entry). I will go and ask another dealer and confirm whether recent SFs have the alarm feature removed...

How can we be sure that my SF(purchased 9/18/07) have the same feature set as a SF that was purchased 6 months ago?

What I meant was the Unlock Handle. Ung kulay Silver (metaalic plastic)

There was a time kasi na in one of my trips, I locked all doors using the Power Door Lock Switch and then we came into an intersection so naka-stop ung car. Sinbukan ko lang na i-open ung door using the Unlock Handle and bumukas ung door and then tumunog ung beep. Nataranta talaga ako kasi I am not expecting na bubukas ung door kasi naka-lock sya and bigla pa nag-GO sa intersection.

Based sa Manual, ganon daw talaga yon. Parang unsafe ata.

Talagang bubukas yan, The SF's doors opens like our bmw and mb's, you dont need to unlock to open the door from the inside, you just pull the handle and the lock will pop, it applies to all four doors. To me its more convenient, you cant find this feature in most cars today. Another simple gadget that I find very handy is the toll card pocket at visor, very very useful, as I often misplace or drop my toll cards under the car seat. A lot of t SF's features are european, like the headlights, it wont turn on when ignition keys are off, etc etc..... The more I drive this car the more I appreciate it.

sir meron bang mga sensitive spot o lugar para matest kung naka engage nga yung alarm, di ako sure e, kaka 5K check up ko lang nakalimutan ko tanung

Yes may mga "little gadgets" ang SF ang di mo mapapasin na useful pala hehe nabibilib ako e european class talaga

I got mine just a little more than a month ahead of yours. I dont think they had changes for the 07 model yet. Try opening the door after 30 seconds after pressing the lock button, if the horns still does not goes off then maybe its time to ask another dealer.

mine has alarm. meron time na nag-busina sya ng nagbusina sa garahe eh. ewan ko ba kung ano ginawa ng asawa ko. but I just clicked the key. shut-off ang sound trip nya

you'll see naman kasi dapat may triangle sticker ka ng Warning Hyundai Security System sa both front door windows

unsafe sya sa bata. i too originally thought it's a defect or something. pero yun kasi 2k5 Ford Explorer EB ng dad ko ganyan din. puwede buksan doors kahit naka-lock. so I assumed it's a new feature on new model cars.

Sabi ng SA ko wala daw talagang Alarm though may triangle sticker sya sa Glass saying that the Vehicle is equipped with an Alarm System. Last night I tried opening the door without the Keys and di talaga nag-aalarm. pinukpok ko na din ung body with my hands pero ayaw pa din.

Mukhang madami tinanggal na Features siguro.
I'll confirm this weekend sa ibang dealers kung may mga alarm ung mga units nila.

One more thing,
Binigyan ako ng Dealer ng Insurance Policy tapos the bank also gave me.
The Insurance I appled for was from the bank as I loaned the car from them.

the lock is suppose to prevent people from the outside going into your car...if you want to prevent your kids from opening the door from the inside...you should activate the child proof lock...meron to for both rear doors...

got mine last aug 06...may alarm...in fact the horn used by the alarm is a separate horn (hindi the same as the cars horn)....found this out kasi when i changed my orig horns...nakita ng installer na may separate horn sya..

on the self leveling suspension...actually i had my doubts about it. In fact, when i had my first 1000 tune up, i asked the mechanic to show me the self leveling suspension gadget (they lifted my car kasi so i inspected the whole suspension system....) even the mechanic could not show me where it is...sabi lang nila..nandyan yan...and honestly, i never felt it work...maybe we should file a class suit against HARI...for mis-representation!

Mukhang unsafe yata feature na yan since di maiwasan may mga bata kang kasama. Sa Sorento kasi driver lang may control sa unlocking ng door basta ang ginamit na switch is power door lock switch at driver side lang din pwede open ang door using the door handle pag activated ang power door lock switch, pag open nya sabay mag open ang ibang pang doors. Magandang safety feature eh yong alarm pag may di fully closed na door at kung di na release yong parking brake. Di talaga titigil unless you correct it at saka auto headlights.

Dalawa na kami dito - myself and coolman (got our units within September) are telling you guys na wala na talagang alarm si SF.

Baka sa mga new batches wala na talagang alarm and doon sa previous meron pa. wawa naman kami. Need to shell out additional 5k para sa alarm.
