yes mine is the V6 version. baka it just needs to be programmed, maybe you can try bringing it to Hyundai C5/Pasig.

Is the Alarm included in all Santa Fe units?
My dealer is asking me to pay 5k for the alarm.

Pero ung ibang posters dito sinasabi na may alarm naman daw yong sa kanila.
    Please clarify.

I feel robbed talaga. Kung wala lang pasok ngayon, umikot na ako sa mga dealers to verify this.
may alarm na po yung unit ninyo

Nels76, why dont you try to bring to other dealers, maybe they can help you.

What I saw in the brochure:

    CONVENIENCE FEATURES

Keyless Entry with Alarm STD(Coupled with Dead Lock Feature)

STD means standard for both gas and diesel versions.

So kung palagay mo wala at ma confirm mo na wala talaga at mapatunayan mo na kinahoy, may habol ka dyan.

Baka sa mga new batches wala na talagang alarm and doon sa previous meron pa. wawa naman kami. Need to shell out additional 5k para sa alarm.
    Hi Nels76/Coolman,

Good news! I can confirm that the alarm exists. I just went to Hyundai Pasig/C5 this morning and had them set it for me. Didn't charge me anything for the setup change.

Ang galing nga, they just connected some sort of transmitter inside the car and then we went back inside to their service area. They then started up their computer inside (I stood behind them to see everything that's going on ) They then navigated thru their software until it showed the General/User Options. Inside, there were 3 settings - Auto Door Lock Status, Arm/Disarm by Key and Horn Answer back.

In my case, the default setting for all 3 was DISABLED. They then proceeded to change Auto Door Lock status to 20KM/H (puwede ata up to 40 or 50 km/h). I also asked them to set Arm/Disarm by key to Enable. I didn't like the horn answer back feature so I left it at disable.

After that, we test drove it and true enough, the lock kicked in when the speed reached 20km/h.

When I got home, I tried the alarm and it also worked! You can test this by sitting insider your vehicle. Press the lock button on the control to lock the car. At this point, you will see the indicator light sa may bottom ng windshield - driver side give a steady red light. Wait for this light to start blinking (mga after 30 seconds) and then try opening the door of the car. The horn will start to sound and the hazard lights will start to blink.

BTW, the service personnel told me that the equipment cost a lot of money. Maybe that's why not all dealers have it.

Kinabahan ako re the alarm so I went out and tested it. Gumana naman siya. You have to arm the alarm and wait till the warning light on the dash flashes (approx. 30 sec) then use your key to open the door and the alarm will sound instantly. The SA's might not be aware of the procedure kaya nasabi niyang wala.

Theres your answer, So the problem really are faulty SA's!!!

Maybe I'll have the horn answer back activated para may feedback ako marinig when I activate or de-activate the system.

Agree with that! Training should be a must for all the SA's at pati na rin service personnel. Na-ka-ka-turnoff ang mga SA's who really don't know anything much about the car they are trying to sell. Pa-cute lang minsan ang mga sagot at walang mga facts...

Santa Fe has already been around for more than a year so they should not be saying that the car is new kaya di pa nila alam ang features.

My SF now have alarm after the activation of speed-sensing auto door lock, i locked the doors via remote and waited a couple of minutes before using the key to open the door, the horn then sounded. funny thing is that the service technician was so sure that the SF does not have alarm. even after i showed them the SF brochure that said alarm comes standard. probably not enough training time on troubleshooting the SF...

also got my unit at hyundai QAve. honestly, they just don't know that the SF have alarm built in. just go back and have your speed sensing doorlocks activated and instructions posted by javoy. should be ok after that.

ma self leveling suspense ka talaga pag in doubt ka kinahoy mga features ng brand new SF mo you'll definitely need a lot of self-leveling to get rid of the suspense

I assume that this is the same as the alarm of other cars where the car beeps when the alarm is armed/disarmed via the remote.

went to Hyundai C5/Pasig today to have my auto lock feature enabled. i noticed that when they went into the menu all three options were disabled and the service said that they only enable the autolock. yung arm/disarm and horn answer back di daw nila ginagalaw at you need to install something else for this daw. anyway after the autolock was enabled my alarm is still working so thats ok.
