Probably this is just based on the dealer and not Hyundai itself sir?

Senyor crazy_boy, I don't mean to promote any particular repair shop, but since you asked, Cruven nga yung repair shop.
Sir xboboix, it could be a particular dealer's bad service only.
But J.D. Power Market survey shows a low-satisfaction rating from Hyundai's after sales service.

There are also a number of other people in the forums who voiced out their dissatisfaction with Hyundai's ASS as well, most recently sir Hammerhead2.![]()
Sir, i don't think hindi sila nag stock ng high ticket parts, tinatago lang nila especially for warranty claims, unless the customer is willing to pay then may stock agad yan. Take for example yung ecu replacement ng accent ko. It took them almost a year to test and test and test my unit, not to mention time and effort wasted on my part going to and fro the dealership. After that almost a year, they concluded that my ecu needs replacing...Duhhh!!!. That's when they tell me that it will take 6 months for the ecu to arrive as they will order it from Korea. My aircon compressor also needs replacement and it will take 3 months for the part...again to arrive.
So i finally blew my top and looked for a connection inside, turns out i had a friend who is close to the big boss of the dealership, i had set a meeting with the service manager and the SM told me "good news sir, we already have a new aircon compressor amd a new ecu on stock. In a day or two you can get your accent". Now thats magic for you.
Senyor numbah5, yup, unlucky, very unlucky, it was our first Hyundai and we didn't know about the notoriety of Hyundai Shaw. Learned a lot from this experience.
Sir dct, can't disclose the vehicle type yet since we will be trying to sell it on the used-car market, at the low-end of the market price though.

Lesson learned. Never take your Hyundai to Hyundai Shaw and other notorious Hyundai dealers for service.
Definitely no two Hyundai dealears are the same. Meaning, iba ibang dealer, iba ibang raket para pagkaperahan ang customer.
On my case, in w/c my dealer is "Hyundai Cebu", and is way way beyond metro manila. Pero I'd say na I received the best service possible. I had numerous problems with two of my hyundais (i10 & Accent), pero my dealer addresses it professionally and with sincerity.
Parts were replaced without raising your eyebrows to claim for warranty kahit na may mga ginawang paglabag ako sa warranty clause nila (eg. mags, electronic accessories, etc). Pero as all hyundai dealers are suffering, supply chain ng parts nila is mahina... It is true that you have to wait for 3 months or more for a replacement. However, the last time I checked, as I have a HOnda City GM din, ganon din patakaran. 3 Months din (in w/c my compressor got busted twice in one calendar year. either refurbished ang ininstall or kunting remedy lang sa sirang compressor).

I totally agree with you Sir TS. I recently bought my second Hyiundai vehicle (this recent unit is under warranty) and on my first tirade with Hyundai for PMS, I already got the First shock of my (hyundai car) life, the 40t KMS PMS will cost around P25t according to one Hyundai CASA because this stage of PMS is major according to them. And to maintain the unit under warranty, all parts should be sourced from them. Comparing their parts prices versus OEM parts sourced from parts shops, their prices are at least 2x higher. The labor costs on the casa versus the refutable repair shops is at least 2x also. So i looked for a casa that allows the owner to bring the oil and filter without voiding the warranty ( as long as the parts are oem and the oil is at par with their HGMO).
My Second shock of my (hyundai car) life is when i asked the casa to remedy the slight kalampag on the right front suspension of my unit. After a week of inspection at the casa, they came up with the following job orders: a) replace the tie rod end and tie rod bar; b) replace the front stab link; c) replace stab link bushing; d) replace front caliper bolt; e) replace axle assembly front right; f) replace abs sensor front left. Here's the shocker: Since my unit was involved in a fender bender (driver side), they cannot honor the warranty for these parts and have to pay for all of these to the tune of at least P50K.
Now how can a fender bender be the cause of voiding warranty for the suspension parts? I should have argued with the SA regarding their findings but didnt bother anymore since i know that i can source these parts outside the casa and have them installed for a mere portion of their quote. The casa will certainly come up with any kind of excuse to void the warranty claim.
Because of this, i had these done at one of the trusted Hyundai shops in banawe and spent a little over P8t for the parts and labor. They also said that the axle assembly need not to be replaced but only the outer boot and repacking of grease of the axle assembly. This axle assemble costs only P10t on the banawe shop versus the P30t at the casa.
After the works at the shop, my unit is up and running like new again without the slight kalampag and at a fraction of the costs at the casa. Sad thing is that they voided the warranty of the suspension parts due to the fender bender. Even the defective rear defogger switch initially they didnot want to replace under warranty because of the fender bender but i insisted that this is no way related tot he fended bender but due to a defective switch. they agreed to replace it under warranty but have to wait for the part to come in (say in 2 - 3 months).
I truly like and enjoy my Hyundai car that's why i got purchased this versus the famous competitors. The performance of my unit brings joy to my everyday driving experience. All my family members have only high praises for my unit when they are riding it. But with it comes the Hyundai After sales Servitude for the next 3 warranty years life of my unit. Heck, if other non related to the fender bender parts fall under warranty, this time i will argue with them to honor the warranty they are boasting about.
We are living in a not-so-perfect world and we cant have it all. At least, my dealings with Hyundai casa is limited to every 5t KMS or 4 months and whatever breakdown it may encounter. But daily i enjoy driving around in it.
Just sharing my experience.
Alam kaya ng HARI ang mga sentimyento na to ng mga Hyundai car owners? Wala ba silang hakbang para iimprove ang serbisyo nila?
hyundai shaw's service and personnel are very good! you should try their new management.. I recommend Red as SA.. & Jelai for the BRP. I am very satisfied with their service.
I'm very satisfied at Hyundai shaw branch. Bought my new starex to Joan tolentino she's very knowledgeable interms of the advantage in getting their brand as compare to others unlike green hills and pasig they don't know what they're selling. You should also try Red Delos santos the service advisor, he handles my after sales concerns and he is superb! Guaranteed you'll be happy and satisfied!
hahaha!
ang FAIL sobrang halata sila.
1st Post dito tas magkasunod pa hahaha!

of course not... Hyundai Shaw Service is great... I myself can attest to that...
give them a chance..
None of the dealerships stock "uncommon" parts. And an ECU is an uncommon part. Carlocaraddict waited almost a year for his 98 Corolla to come back from the dealer after Ondoy.
When I was a Nissan owner, certain parts were not in stock. CV Joints, for example, for the Cefiro were a 3-month wait from Japan. For the Lynx, certain cosmetic parts... badges... body panels... etcetera... were also a 3-month wait (accident repair).
Sadly... it sometimes comes down to who you know, what dealership you go to and how "mabait" your service advisor is. Note the JD Powers results. You wouldn't believe them if you happened to be one of those screwed over at Suzuki, Chevrolet or Ford... now... would you? And there are lots of complaints in the forums (and even here) about Chevy service or Ford service (at Ford Global, usually).
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
