I don't often see grand santa fe on the road. Its 2.5M pesos right? I think mas pipiliin ng iba ang explorer over it kung nasa 2.5M ang budget. Baka lang naman.

yup, 2.498M. it used to be the "better but cheaper" crossover. now they have priced themselves out of the market. with the everest, new (2016) montero and new fortuner all priced bellow 2M you can expect even less of these on the road. pati kia sorento humahabol na din at 2.2M for the totl ex model.
the new ford explorer 3.5 ecoboost is priced at 2.819M. the old 2.2 ecoboost was the one sold at 2.3M but now with a big 100k discount so 2.2M na if you find a dealer with one.
if i have 2.5M to spend i would consider the better mazda cx9 at 2.4M instead. yes it is a gasoline suv but you should not be worrying about the price of gas if you can afford 2.5M. and mazda/berjaya has much better customer aftersales service than hyundai/hari.
That's pretty much it. The Sorento 2.3m is actually a nice car, and the interior finish is better than the Santa Fe (where the old Sorento was behind), but both Koreans are getting awfully expensive compared to the ladder-frame trucks.
Used to be they had ride comfort and interior finish over the ladder-frames, but the Everest has changed that. And now that they're flirting with Explorer/CX-9 pricing, it's a very hard sell.
I think the Grand Santa Fe was a wasted opportunity. It feels too much like a Santa Fe with a butt tacked on... with all the dynamic and packaging shortcomings that suggests. Too undercooked to compete with vehicles built specifically as seven seaters.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
The secret is you get to keep both. My 2007 Santa Fe is yes Medyo makalampag but hey it's still in original , so light and comfortable to drive . Wala pa ako napaliran anything major kundi rubber bushings
The Koreans are getting more expensive because theirs are global brands. It's available in first world countries like the US and Europe
Do we see the ladder frame models that we have here sa mga countries. Na ito, no d ba
At par na with German engineering ang Korean cars having employed Europeans themselves
-
Glad to keep my SF as the Koreans get more expensive . Para Tuloy nagkaka-value car ko and I don't even need to shell out big investments today like most people do
pansin ko nga yung sportage 2012 ko mamkalampag din..ganyan pa sakit ng mga korean cuv?
nasa gumagamit siguro. my 2012 sorento has no kalampag but it has this "ik-ik" sound which i suspect is the tonneau cover. need siguro lagyan ng rubber sa dulo ng spring loaded extension nya.
pero sa hatawan wala talaga tatalo sa sta fe/sorento. light and nimble.
laus group din ang mitsubishi pampanga di ba! mukhang pangit ang reputasyon ng company na ito
hindi pa binuo handle ... tsikinini
BTT: pagka-alam ko Hyundai Pampanga is owned by Hizon family (more famous for Pampanga's Best), not Laus ... but Laus Group do own a lot of stealerships of various brands including Hyundai in Dagupan City, Pangasinan (where i bring our starex for repairs)
mataas talaga PMS/repair cost sa mga casa ... fortunately, cars seldom need casa service, kadalasan minor problems lang na kaya na ng neighborhood auto shop
during warranty, i avail of casa oil/filter the first few times then bring my own oil/filter after the 1st year ... i was never told of voiding warranty (although i am aware of their policy) ... i doubt the casa would void the warranty if you can prove that the car has not been tampered by other shops (non-casa oil service is not tampering!)

Dear Sirs/Madams,
IS MY HYUNDAI EXTENDED (5 YRS.) WARRANTY AUTOMATICALLY VOID AFTER 3 YEARS IF NON-CASA CLAUSE OF FEDERAL PHOENIX IS APPLIED?
OVERVIEW:
Proud owner of 1st generation Tucson, November 2009, superb condition, 700k 2nd owner, purchased Feb 2013
Religious PMS (x12 total or 33 months) by previous owner with Hyundai Abad Santos
Insurance policy fully endorsed, extended warranty in effect per inspection of service passport (Hyundai North Edsa)
PROBLEM:
Filed a claim with Federal Phoenix March 1, 2013. (front and rear bumpers for replacement and some repair on tail gate)
Fed Pnx explains NON-CASA clause in effect (car is 3 years and 4 months old more or less)
Fed Pnx suggested Hyundai North Edsa (NON-CASA rate) vs. Ziebart
Ziebart wins from Fed Pnx point of view (most likely, but still fighting for Hyundai CASA)
ISSUES:
When HARI appointed Federal Phoenix for its extended warranty insurance, they have a joint responsibility to advise the client in how to preserve it.
(page 9 of the Hyundai Extended Warranty Booklet, under main title Contract of Insurance, there's a notice that HARI is merely a coordinator.... any such obligation of extended warranty is a primary obligation of Federal Phoenix Assurance Co Inc. to the policy holder...)
The NON-CASA clause of the motor insurance policy of Federal Phoenix is contradictory to its agreement with HARI as to extended-warranty on electrical and mechanical breakdown as non-authorized HARI dealer repairs or pms will void it.
I understand that Federal Phoenix like any regular insurance co. would like to save money. But is this fair to the client, who suffers a stuck, defective CRDI injector worth 150k to repair?
Basic PMS outside CASA is very much available and parts abound in Banawe. But among the top reasons why owners remain loyal to a Hyundai dealer PMS is to retain the 5 years extended-warranty even if the premium CASA service is costlier.
Next Step:
Awaiting your response and recommendation. My research on various internet forums such as PEX and Tsikot.com has yielded nothing similar to my problem. Please help me preserve my warranty, and the value of my Tucson.
Thanks.
patulong mga boss. first time mag file ng claim, i need your expert inputs. feeling lugi talga ako dahil 25% ang depreciation (ang ganda ng condisyon at naka diamond gloss pa, di man lang divided by 12 months, tapos ma void pa ang warranty)
