I remember before there is one company purchase a fleet of accent 200 unit in HARI.

Well taxi drivers who used this unit, told me that they consume only 800 pesos on a 24 hr service compared to gasoline.

1. Expensive
2. 30km/l isn't achievable
3. Owning a vios J is cheaper.
4. You can add an LPG tank to the vios, with that cheaper fuel.

let's see what happens to the CRDi's injectors bet. 100K to 200K kms (this is easy with taxis).
Vios is cheaper though not as hardy as an Altis. Kung Accent e di Altis na lang. Nothing beats a Toyota.....as a taxi!

Si Rangen lang ata yung operator na madalas kumukuha ng Accent. Others still go for the Vios LPG power...
sa abad santos kumukuha c rangen, almost 100 units na ang nakuha ni rangen sa abad santos, as i know meron pa sila additional 10 units na ilalabas next month
meron din sila nirelease na almost 40 units na getz sa isang pharma company, meron pa daw pending na another 40 units for next month

I bought my vios 1.3m/t last year and sold it just this april. One thing I hate on the vios is that its hard to roll the car in ist gear, either it will dragg and the engine stops or you must press hard the accelerator and the engine will rev hard as if you are a new driver. My fuel consumption that time city driving is 8 to 8.5km/l. Because of frustration going in and out of different casa, I just sold it and bought a hyundai accent instead. So far so good in terms of power and torque and its just the opposite of vios. My fuel consumption range from 9.5 to 10km/l or more with same driving conditions of vios. What I dont like is the suspension, its somewhat hard unlike vios the suspension is soft .
We know that Toyota parts are really easy to find. Is it because a lot of them is manufactured or a lot of Toyota sedan's break down and owners doesn't want to have them repaired which tells us that the still usable parts go to surplus stores?
Not much is said about Accent's maintenance and parts problems because it's relatively still new. It is indeed more costly than a 1.3J Vios but maybe because it's diesel powered.
If this car has a lot of problem, why will Rangen keeps on ordering this car for use as taxi (assuming that they indeed ordered)?
sa iloilo,madaming naka accent dun,patok na patok. so far masaya ang mga driver kasi nga matipid daw talaga,kahit mas malaki boundary nababawi naman daw tsaka di mabibitin sa hatak dahil diesel. di pa daw natutuyo throat nila dahil hindi LPG. yan yun mga sagot sa akin dito at sa iloilo. when i had my car serviced at hyundai abad,ang usual na binabalik na problema is yun electric power steering. apart from that,matibay naman daw at wala masaydong problema.
hindi naman kasi beneficial sa taxi operator sa Accent.
mas mahal acquisition cost
mas mahal ang maintenance cost (5k pms intervals vs 10k pms intervals sa gas counterparts)
mas mahirap ang parts (adds to down time pag nasira)
mainit huli sa mga ASBU (anti-smoke belching unit) pag katagalan at mausok na ang unit.
mas beneficial sya sa driver due to fuel efficiency.
OK sya kung yung operator ang magmamaneho ng taxi nya.
Pero kung hindi naman, mas wise choice ang Vios or Avanza J (taxi spec).

Wala pa akong nakita na mausok na accent.
Kung umusok ang crdi engine nito sigurado may problema ang makina, ganoon din kung may problema ng makina ng vios maguusok rin yan. Tabla lang sila sa sarili kong opinyon.
IMHO karamihan ng taxi operator ay naniniwala na mas superior ang vios compared to accent kaya vios ang binili nila.
