Pag heavy at medium PMS dun lang merong brake cleaning agent at liha, still walang misc..
This is the reason why we didn't bought a Hyundai. All dealerships we asked implements the same PMS schedule which is every 3 months regardless if gas or diesel variant.

just had my wife's santa fe (2011) serviced at HYUNDAI TARLAC (SAME OWNER AS HYUNDAI PAMPANGA)... it was my first time to have it serviced there... had it serviced before at greenhills and global city...
at first, they listed what they will do with the car... grabe yung car wash and detailing... worth almost 700 kung di ako nagkakamali parang car wash lang naman ginawa at vacuum... pero ang weird, nilagay sa list ng gagawin nila na lalagyan ng x1r na additive... i never trusted additives especially in diesel cars... so i requested that they remove it from the list... nagcomply naman sila, it is their company policy daw kaya kelangan lagyan, i then asked if it is REQUIRED by HYUNDAI that x1r will be placed and he cannot answer me directly... more than 2k din yun... from more than 8k pesos, it went down to just above 6k pesos...
i asked about the 3 months rule and the answer of the SA is ---> for the first three years, di daw sila gaanong magiging strikto sa 3 months/5000 km-which-one-comes-first rule... pero pag dating ng 4th and 5th year ng warranty (extended warranty na daw yung last two years), dun daw sila magiging strikto and yung di pagsunod dun sa first three years ng 3 months rule ang pwedeng maging reason for not allowing warranty claims...
i also asked about using oil brought by the customer but he said that HARI daw is strict about the use of specific oils in their cars... di na rin ako nangulit kasi ala naman akong dalang oil that time...
each dealer has its own interpretation of the the 3months rule ata... hehe..
honestly, this policy of HARI made me decide not to buy hyundai cars in the future and that our SANTA FE will be the last hyundai...
Magaling kasi marketing ng hyundai kaya madami sila nauuto. Sila kaya pasimuno ng mga 18k all-in dp. Kapag tinotal mo in 5 years na instolment para kang bumili ng 2 car.
to be fair to hyundai... their cars (esp the santa fe) are very good cars... kaso ang prob ko hindi sa HYUNDAI... kundi sa HARI... policies nila ito... hindi ng hyundai mismo...
to say na NAUTO ang mga bumili ng hyundai is quite far out... we bought our SANTA FE using CASH... so we had a lot of research before we bought it (early part of 2011) and honestly, performance and feature-wise, mas lamang talaga siya sa ibang SUVs.. kaso nung 2012, naimplement naman itong kalokohang policy ng HARI na 3months rule, dun lang ako nadismaya....
note: nature talaga ng loan na may interest... and pag multiple years siya, for sure mas malaki interest... convenience has a price, ika nga... that applies to all "PROMOS" of different car brands... and it is not local to hyundai...
Just rode a taxi yesterday. Got to talk to the driver regarding his 3 year old accent crdi. He said he has no problems with his accent and showed me his odo... a whopping 290,000 kms! Alaga lang daw sa maintenance. Inside, I can still feel the smoothness of the engine. The underchassis, of course you can hear some kalampag here and there. Didnt get to ask saang CASA siya... it must be doing something good.
Ganyan din sa Chev. 3 years sa car plus 2 years sa powertrain. Not 5 years on the car.
Just got my 2015 Grand Starex Gold CRDI VGT (10S) AT last 31 January 2015 and had my first PMS (1000 km change oil) last 07 February. Yes I reached 1000 plus kilometers in 1 week because my unit was delivered to my hotel in Pasay last 31 January and I drove it all the way to Ormoc City reaching 925 kilometers.
Being a greenhorn with the new GS, I brought my car to Hyundai Tacloban which is more than 100 km away from Ormoc for the change oil, the tinting and seat cover which were not pre installed since my unit was delivered to me straight from their Batangas plant (apparently the 2015 GS model is not yet available in their provincial dealers). When I was shown my bill I was shocked to learn that I will be paying P6300 for the change oil, and labor is supposed to be free. I can have my oil changed at a decent shop outside for much lower price. I was told by Hyundai Tacloban that I need to have my oil changed at a Hyundai dealer so that my warranty won't become void.
Now after reading this thread, I feel like a mutt.![]()
