2008 Hyundai Starex (Gen. 4)

Medyo may delay talaga sir ang GS (around 0.5-1 sec kaya kailangan isama sa pagtantya pag overtake) siguro sa acceleration due to spooling pa ng VGT kaya nadidiin tayo sa pedal pag late ang response.

I noticed this with the GS, kaya nung nag-Baguio kami, had to use the manual shifter for the climb, para di na mag-isip.

The GS would really benefit from a electronic throttle controller -- just like Innovas and Fortuners. But I wonder if this would apply to the GS?

Air filter? Well kung barado, pwede din naman. Air filter is not as commonly overlooked as the fuel filter, coz madali lang naman buksan ang air filter box. Yung oil filter naman parating kasabay ng oil change. Fuel filter is usually not noticed.

Anyways, the air box designs nowadays are very sensitive. Even an airbox that's not completely sealed coz the mechanic did not return the cover properly can cause some loss in power.

Same here bro. Though perhaps more for some situations than others.

What I did not like about the Innova gas a/t of my Dad was that it would take time and pedal travel to floor it, then even if you floored it, it would take forever to shift, then it would take more time to get to the usable torque range. The throttle controller was fooling the ECU that I was flooring it despite just half the pedal travel.

Bagong PMS na GS namin!
Iba talaga pag CI-4 na engine oil gamit compared sa castrol noon na CF-4 lang. maganda na ulit manakbo. Hehehe!

Problem with my GS right now is may rust konti sa taas. isang guhit.

speaking of rust, ang peyborit place of rust ng starex ay dun sa kinakapitan ng rubber seal sa rear door. tignan nyo yung bandang ibaba, peel off the rubber door seal (madali lang ibalik, don't be scared ). pag meron i-turco na para di kumalat.

I think sir yebo ito yung kinakapitan ng weather strip for the rear door pero eto yung nakakabit sa body mismo right? If yes, same case sa old starex...naiipon ang tubig dito pag nauulanan or nababasa yung sasakyan...

btw, I was in HANCARS yesterday, and webson told me that their GSs are already tropicalized meaning the ECU was programmed to adapt in our country and there is an aux fan that is placed in front of the radiator... Sa PHDM ba isa lang ang fan na nakalagay?

yup, exactly as in the picture above. kasama sa warranty pero hangang 3 years lang yata sa rust.
