Alan, gamitin mo kasi kotse mo lol ikaw kasi palagi lang during weekends kaya di mo naiisip yan or masasayang ka talaga pag madalas magpa-change oil

Pero for me still i think every 4 months kung daily driver and not used on track, e sobra sobra and malinis parin ang oil by then. well thats just me.

one thing also is the cost. So kung 3k per PMS so 9k a year na yun. + insurance na 20k + gas na 40k so around 70k a year. sakit sa bangs pala. hahahha!!!!

    commute time! :D

Ouch, 40k a year for gas??

Automatic...

40k a year, assuming prices are at 52 pesos per liter, and 9 km/L for the Jazz, results in roughly 7,000 km a year. Much lower than the average of 10-12k a year.

Good point sir, cguro its about time na maging hands on na ako sa sasakyan, parang isang beses ko palang yata binuksan yung hood since binili nicheck ko lang yung brake fluid at radiator nung nag baguio ako.

roel, mababa pa yung 40K a year sa gas expense. Average ko 3 full tank a month, more or less 5K a month so 60K a year. Magastos talaga mag maintain ng kotse, kaya as much as possible ayaw ko magcompute. Parang mababa yung 278km, unless palagi traffic dinadaanan mo.

Good day! I'm looking to get either the 1.3 a/t or the 1.5 a/t.
How's the fuel economy of each? And is the 1.3 enough power? or will it feel under powered to the weight?
Also, any known issues/defects that arise? (I was thinking of the accent but then I saw all the problems about, screw that! lol)
I currently own a Chevy, and it'll be 3yrs old in December ending its warranty. I thought I'd try a different car this time, maybe something w/ better fuel economy and a car with readily available parts. I'm thinking of just getting the 1.3, what do you guys think?

true to this na conservative pa ang 40k a year sa gas. i do gas up twice a week so tahts 1700x2. So 3400x12 will be around 41k a year.

correct. Usually at 300kms mark, iilaw na ang gas light natin. then 30L ang karga so around 10km/L average ng 1.5L a/t :D

If you are gping with a/t, i'd suggest you get the 1.5L instead. a difference of 1-2km/L only. But if m/t, ibang usapan na yan :D

+1 sabawballs. the 1.3a/t is definitely not underpowered. 1-2 (or even 3) km/L difference lang vs the 1.5 a/t, but if it will be used as a daily city car, it'll translate to a huge savings in gas expense. the 1.5V has a lot of goodies which make it a good buy over the 1.3S (e.g. paddle shifters, RS body kit, fog lamps, 16s wheels including spare).

the only known issue i've heard of about the jazz is the taffeta white paint spotting, which is posted somewhere here in tsikot. you can always opt for another color. other than that, it's mechanically sound and reliable

you have control of the gear shifts in m/t. neutral coasting will definitely save more fuel. higher revving = more fun (power)

Hi. Sorry, I have no in-depth experience in driving an AT. Dun sa 1.5 A/T, can it be driven in manual mode? Meaning, shift ka lang kapag gusto mo. Also, wala bang "neutral" sa AT?

Im almost sold in getting a Jazz after driving my sister's yesterday (1.3MT). But im inclined dun sa 1.5AT since usually puno kami. It's sad na walang MT yung 1.5. My primary concern is FC, but still with enough power to haul 5 adults.

May 'S' (sequential) shifting mode yung 1.5. Para syang manual in the sense na di magsshift automatically yung gears until you tell it to (+/- paddles). Meron sya safety feature / limits, like automatic magsshift to 1st gear pag sobrang bagal or nag stop, tsaka pag matagal na nagre-redline.

May neutral ang a/t, pero it's not recommended for use sa coasting. Additional stress sa tranny kasi, when it tries to shift to higher gears from neutral while at high speed.

Might have some difficulty at inclined roads na. To illustrate, yung mga taxi na vios, usually 1.3L yun 85hp / 122nm torque, kaya maski fully loaded. Meanwhile, ang 1.3 jazz nasa 100hp / 127nm torque. Anyway, sa sister nyo naman, try it out
