confirmed na on a 16x7 +45 with 205/50/16 tires mag rub even on stock height.
Pao used 16x6.5 +45 with 205/50/16 and Tein S.tech also rubs on quick dips
Mike used 16x7 +45 with 205/50/16 and Tein H.tech also rubs on quick dips
Now Mike uses 16x7 +45 with 195/50/16 and Tein H.tech no rubbing at all.
I am using 16x6.5 +55 (with 1/4" spacer = 6mm so +49 na) with stock tires no rubbing.
I think if you want to use 205/50/16, your offset should be crazy high like +48 and up. I yet haven't tried 205/50 but that will be my next route. If it rubs with my spacers, i'll just remove the spacer. If it still rubs, then i think 195/50 should be the way to go.
Medyo mahirap talaga sa GE natin ang mags + tires combo. Mas maswerte pa ang GD :D
It will be safe on stock tires and stock suspension. Maybe even after a mild drop since 185 lang naman gagamitin. Problem with this is after maupod ang stock tires, mas common ang 195/50 and 205/50. But 185 will still be available though yung same as stock parin. HTH! :D
Yep ako yung nagbebenta ng 70% tires pero 205/45/16 yun. and tires langhindi ko sinasama rims. hehe!. Oo nga naamoy ko na coils ni jay sayo :D
with current choices of affordable rims, the most you can get are the following:
16x7 +45 offset
17x7.5 +45 offset
so 195/X/X nga ang pinaka safe.

Actually sir di naman na car wash, binuhusan ko lang ng tubig kasi nabasa ng ulan sa bahay, di ko kaagad nailagay sa garage. Tapos di ko po alam if sa rear, loud thug po yung narinig ko upon reverse. Pero as of now di na naulit.. Daily driven yung car.sana walang problem.

If 16s tama sya 195/50 the best, no rubbing kahit +45 offset
Sa 17s nalang ako makaka pag share, if you go Coilovers you can use 205/45 or 215/40 with a slight rubbing on sudden dips at 100/+kph, at 80kph wala naman rubbing issues, if you go lowering your only choice is 205/40 sure na walang rubbing even on sudden dips.
only downside on 195/50 and 205/40 is mag iiba speedometer mo. mas maliit kase diamater ng wheels mo non.
Alam ni Sabawballs and Bayen ang opinion ko when it comes to lowering, go for Coilovers na, you can always adjust, if you go lowering and you had problems, you can't do anything about it unless mag lifter ka which is dagdag gastos and less travel for your springs.

*vonz0r: pwede ka mag 205/50 kahit +40 just tuck in your fenders or do a fender rollpara makuha mo yung look na gusto moGusto ko kasi plug and play na, 205/50 will look better IMO pero ayoko ng hassle. Also wanted the TE37/Grid rims pero walang magandang sukat, kahit sa 17's masyado na malapad ang 7.5" rim for me mabigat sa manibela, added stress lang sa APS.

Eto po kasi gusto ko rim size eh 16x6.5 in wheel with a 4 x 100 bolt pattern and a 55 offset.

mga idols, yung rubbing naman na yan, there are 2 factors that i learned after experimenting on 2 lowering springs setup and coilover plus 3 different rims and tires setup
1) stiffness ng suspension
2) driving style
you cant just rely on offset or tire specs ;) ako kasi todo hataw ako when opportunity strikes and i have little to no fender gap and have a stiff suspension... so kung relax-mode lang kayo magdrive, dont worry too much about rubbing... pero definitely meron yan but i dont think it would be like how it was with me before hehehe kahit straight lang takbo, nagrurub

Eejay, madali lang yan... for 12k, mas maganda ride... so kung maselan si misis, magandang selling point yan for the added gastos ;) nakasakay nako sa GE ni Jay and swabe ang ride... bali wala ang mga lubak... sa BC, ramdam mo siya... di ren maganda lambutan ang damper masyado naman... known kasi ang BC talaga for being stiff... i'd get that kung habol ko comfort and if i have a budget... contented na naman ako sa BC and marami pako gusto gawin sa GE ko kaya di ko makuha yankunin mo na yung Tein ni idol Jay tapos bigay mo na lang kay wink200k yung BC... everybody happy!!! :cheer3:
