after unhooking the 4 clips, just pull downwards, and the cover should come off.

nangyari narin sakin 'to dati..pagtanggal ko nahulog..natigilan ako sabay napamura.haha!!! sinubukan ko pa silip-silipin, tapos inatras abante ko sasakyan..pagsilip ko sa ilalim, nalaglag..buti nalang. lesson learned..be extra careful next time around

I was tinkering around with my GE today and I got in the mood for another DIY project.

Notice that the stock battery tie down gets rusty and aftermarket battery tie down as shown in the picture (allutec) can be a bit too expensive. (PHP 2,500) other after market are also within the same range. I figured why not make a simple and functional battery tie down So started my DIY Battery Tie down Project.

These are made from steel bars. I grinded it to make it look better. Am planning to get them painted once I get the right paint and epoxy primer to make them rust proof and even more durable.

I 'm planning on making extra ones just in case some folks are interested. I'll be selling them for 500 each.

*Sir Bayen, mahal pala ng Allutec. hehe. ok lang ba hindi nakakabit ang battie down sa battery? sa akin kc 2nd hand ko nakuha ung jazz ko walang nkakabit na tie down ever since. hehe.

may tanong pala ako. (nag post din ako ng thread regarding this concern.hehe ) Does gasoline expire or will go bad after a long period of time na hindi gaano nagagamit ang kotse? Lumipat na kami kc ng condo na near sa office ni wifey and work*home naman ako. Both homebody lang kami ni misis at madalang gamitin ang kotse. As in madalang gamitin kc katabi na po namin ang mall at grocery. Religously ko naman wina-warmup ang kotse every other day and naitatakbo ko naman sa parking lot ng condo para ma stretch siya at d ma diskarga ang battery and d masira ang a/c. Ang tanong ko lang paano naman ang gasoline inside sa gas tank? will it go bad ba kung d ako gaano nakakapag refuel ng new gasoline? last ako nagpa gas is mga 1st week of Feb pa. as of today, more than 1/4 pa ang gas ko. Ano po ba ang tamang dapat gawin? kailangan ko ba palagi mag refuel ng new gasoline kahit madami pa gas ko at naka tengga lang kotse ko or ok lang antayin ko nlang maubos muna gas then re-fuel ulit or pwede din kaya kapag magpapa gas ako yung pang "1/4 refill" lang para mabilis maubos ang gas then refill ng new gas ulit ? worried lang ako baka magka effect sa performance ng kotse ko kapag old na gasoline ko. Other concern guru's suggest mag Petron Blaze ako kc walang ethanol and 6 weeks lang mag spoil naraw ang gasoline. bigla ako natakot kc more than 6weeks na yung sa akin.hehe! pwede bang haluan ko nlng ung 1/4 fuel na natira ng new fuel? thanks.

if you dont have your battery secured, you might experience some issues with the terminal becoming loose. during operation vibration in the engine bay can cause this. its better to be on the safe side.

mido_ban, tama si boss Bry, the purpose is to secure the battery and to hold it down... kahit mabigat yan, gagalaw-galaw pa ren yan... for gas, afaik, just make sure pa-andarin mo siya once in awhile, better if patakbuhin din para gumalaw lahat ng parts
