From my experience, around 5-10% off. On my Altis, even with the bigger tires, 100 kph on the speedo is just 95 kph on the GPS.

1 hertz GPS refresh... skip a few seconds due to poor signal, it can happen. But Ulysses is useful for figuring out speed averages and getting the speedo error.

Playing with the new V-Box Sport. 20 hertz... accurate to 1/20th of a second, but man, ang likot ng speed reading!

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

The LED headlamps of the Civic are actually very strong:

Civic LED on the left, Mazda 3 HID on the right.

Perhaps the reason why you think Civic headlamps are weak is because its projectors are aimed directly at the road for maximum visibility, instead of blinding oncoming motorists.

It's just your perception ... LED headlights are aimed more precisely than normal headlights, there is not stray light to glare oncoming traffic ... plus if it''s a Smart LED headlight, it will turn off a part of the light that will blind oncoming traffic ... Mazda has this feature on the CX-5 and 6 called ILS, not sure with the Civic ...

thanks for the clarification sirs. however i also saw a review on the new civic saying the same observation i had (although i was in another car nung napansin ko). I was parked in a one-way street with slow moving traffic when this civic slowly passed by me. Observed it for a few seconds only so maybe i was wrong too

Review: 216 Honda Civic RS Turbo | ************ - Philippine Car News, Car Reviews, Car Features, Car Buyer's Guide and Car Prices.

"At night, the Civic is even more of a stunner. The full LED headlight cluster casts an unmistakable bluish-white light while the rear C-shaped tail lights with their light pipe design provide an interesting exclamation point. Interestingly, the Civic’s headlights don’t throw a long and wide enough beam of light. Even with the front fog lights on, it suffers from poor nighttime visibility—a shock given the complexity of the headlight’s design and the fact that this particular unit doesn’t even have tint."

If there are street lights, you won't notice LED head lights that much since the color is almost white ...

I guess Honda should start fielding out an MT option for the Civic turbo. To those clamoring for an affordable compact car with a small turbo engine paired with an MT tranny, Nissan is answering their call with a Sentra SR Turbo with a 1.6L turbo engine rated at 188hp/240Nm paired with a 6MT tranny to be released in the US on October. An optional CVT tranny is also available.

Here's a thought - if you want the Civic Turbo's performance in a nimbler package with a manual transmission, why not just get a Jazz and slap on a turbo?

The Civic uses the same L15 engine of the Jazz. Stock, the Jazz already makes 120 hp. With an aftermarket turbo that's tuned properly, it'll surely beat the 173 hp of the Civic. It's also much lighter and the manual is definitely more fun.

    ^^ mejo OT

nakakita ako ng Sylphy na naka bodykit (not sure kung nismo) and it actually looks decent. Siguro kasi bago sa paningin. Nadala naman ng mags. So if may turbo version + bodykit and stance, kung makarating dito might be worth looking into. Sila ung may legit racing heritage, sadly nasira ung branding.

Yep, a Jazz with an L15B7 turbo engine will be one fun car to drive. However, I am not sure if the addition of a turbocharger will fit the engine bay of the Jazz. Based on what I see on our 2009 Jazz, the engine bay is just cramped and it's a pain to replace the spark plugs.

Just saw rs turbo in the flesh. Looks good. Looks low and wide. Magwheels could be better though.

Lots of turbocharged Jazzes all over the internet, even the smaller GD Jazzes. [emoji1303]

Come to think of it, a manual Jazz seems like a fun and practical project car. [emoji848]

A jazz with the L15 engine and a manual tranny perhaps. The 1.3L engine just lacks enough oomph.

If Ford brings locally the EUDM Fiesta Ecoboost with the MT tranny, that would be fun for tuners.

There aren't any 1.3 GKs, and the GK is the first locally available Jazz with a 1.5 MT.

Just put a turbo on your Jazz, same engine, more power with an aftermarket turbo, better handling with a nimbler car
