Hi guys. I'm in the market for a new car and might purchase before the month ends. I'm here to seek your expert opinions on whether to pick honda city vx+ or toyota altis 1.6v. Both are just a little over 1M, which is where I stand budget-wise. What do you think?

Get the Altis if you have the budget for the VX+

    Compact car anytime.

1 year warranty ni casa for the battery, palitan dapat yan.

Thanks!

As an Altis and Civic owner, the Civic wins hands down.

Looks better, drives better, has more power with the same efficiency, better ergonomics, better specs (1.8E vs 1.6G), better execution of toys (1.8E vs 1.6V).

The City VX+ isn't a good buy for me either. I don't see the point spending over 1M for what is still a subcompact.

Same with Jut. I'd get myself a Civic 1.8E for that budget of yours. It strikes a very good balance in comfort, sportiness, and fuel efficiency. In the case of the City VX+, 1M is too much for a small car with a bunch of toys.

If not the Civic, I'd take a look at the Sylphy 1.8V for a comfortable ride or a Focus 1.5L Ecoboost for a sporty/zippy ride.

Malubak din samin bro. Pero thankfully 4 months so far ok pa gulong, wala pa bukol (sana wala til maubos thread).

Pag 32/30 kasi parang lumulubog sya pag nalulubak.

What brand of tires bro? What tire pressure do you use? Underinflation usually increases the likelyhood of sidewall lumps.

Yung previous gen City namin dati madalas din magka separation. Goodyear yung tires. Maybe stiffen them up a bit more to 36 psi?

Actually thinking of replacing it with other brand, parang nadala na ako sa Turanza.

For now is it more safe if I will put it in rear muna?

What model ng Turanza? Are you talking about the GR90s? These are quite costly and are quite good. No experience with them but I have used the older GR80s.

Or are you talking about the stock Turanzas (ER something) used on the Honda City/Jazz?

We never had problems with the ER Turanza on our old Jazz up until we replaced them with Dunlop LMs.

If budget is limited for tire replacements, go with Indonesian brands (Achilles, Neuton, Accelera). They offer good value for money.
