October 4th, 2015 02:34 PM #3562I only use it when i need to overtake 10/16 wheeler trucks on highways. May boost talaga e coming from D drive and sarap sa tenga ng tunog ng sasakyan pag naka S mode heheheh
Also pag naka full stop tapos need lumabas agad ng lane S mode agad! lol
Basta you can engage S mode anytime during operation :D

October 4th, 2015 03:35 PM #3564S mode (Sequential Shift Mode or Sports Mode) is used when you want to manually control the shift points by using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel or by moving the selector lever backward or forward (on some vehicles). Refer to your owner's manual for more info.

October 5th, 2015 03:55 AM #3565I use S mode to accelerate faster ('di ba redundant na yun, haha), 'tas binabalik ko sa D mode after ko maabot yung speed na gusto ko. Tipong S mode right before overtaking, 'tas balik D mode after malampasan yung inunahan ko.

What do you guys preferred sa downhill/uphill?
S or L? Mas malakas ba engine breaking ng S?

October 5th, 2015 12:23 PM #3567For 2014 Toyota Altis without Paddle shifters, the S mode is used for engine braking. B is for stronger engine braking (same as L or L1 for other brands). Not sure if same ang operation ng 2014 Honda City.

IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
