Question po, kasi I was driving earlier then nag flash ako ng lights, tapos biglang umilaw sa dashboard yung EPS (electric power steering) and ABS na icons... sandali lang mga 1 second tapos nag stiff yung steering wheel then back to normal gumaan ulit. It happened a few more times kaya kinabahan ako kasi nasa highway ako, tapos nung mag gabi na need na mag headlight ayun buti di na naulit yung EPS.

Ano kaya cause nito? mag 4 months pa lang and 2k kms, sakin si GM6

i'd check the alternator belt. it might need tightening.

Doc nangyari kasi saken last time when my battery conked, Napa start ko lang via "series" pero bumigay na talaga hindi na talaga nag charge.

Along the way sa battery shop umilaw din EPS and bumigat ng more or less 2 seconds.

Will have my 50K pms done sa Honda Spa this Saturday.

I asked for a quotation and they gave an estimate of 6,800 (no optionals)

kaso for replace na fuel filter so that is 5,100 already.

Mga bro magtatanong sana ako ng advise, I think my car is eating up too much fuel.

I got my (brand new) 2018 Honda City 1.5 E CVT just last Thursday, July 6, so it is less than 1 week old. I have driven it daily up until today and have logged about 129 KM total. Problem is the fuel consumption as the average fuel economy reading indicates about 5.7 KM/L which I have confirmed by cross referencing with the total KM traveled along with the amount of fuel that I have consumed to date which is about 20+ liters. I have only driven in Mandaluyong-Makati-QC, experienced a somewhat heavy traffic last Thursday but everything else is pretty much normal city driving. I cannot say that I am light footed on the gas but quite close to it - I am never aggressive with my accelerator or brakes unless it cannot be helped.

My question at this point is do you think my car has a problem or do you think it is just the breakin period? I expected slightly lower fuel economy given that the car is very new, but not half the advertised city driving fuel economy of 10-11 KM/L. Thank you for the inputs.

Thank you mga bro for the inputs. So you guys don't feel na half the advertised city driving fuel economy is a problem? There was no traffic when i drove during the weekend which was about 80KM total...I was able to drive 40-60 KPH in EDSA and Q Ave which pushed my fuel economy up to 5.8 KM/L from 5.2 KM/L...tapos in the four weekdays I drove it was before 7am and before 5pm so traffic was not that heavy, except thursday afternoon. Sorry if im a vit confused and puzzled...first car ko kasi and although I did not expect to reach the advertised fuel economy given the breakin and differences in driving conditions...it just felt too low. 😁

Bago lang kotse. Start yan from 0.0 km/liter and goes up and time passes. Nothing to worry.

Ako naman ung 500pesos ko na gas would last for like 3 to 4 days though hindi siya to the point na empty usually may 2 bars na left, driving 25 to 30km per day, though pang gabi ako and light to moderate traffic lang but still its a good consumption on my part

Ganyan talaga pag bago. Di pa totally broken in. Per my experience, around 5000 km nagstart tumipid yung auto ko

Plus kelangan mo din iconsider yung driving habits mo. Lalo na’t bago yung auto. Iba yung timbre nyan sa pag tapak ng gas. Hindi naman magkakamukha mga kotse sa bigat at gaan ng tapak. Iba iba magiging results nyan.

Like what I’ve posted earlier. Give it a month or two para mag settle in lahat, pati na din yung way of driving mo, pag mas kilala mo na panu tumakbo sasakyan mo.

You're welcome bro. Hopefully after ng break-in period maresolve na yung higher than usual fuel consumption nya.

Pero if walang improvement, report mo na talaga yan haha.

But I am 80% sure na mag iimprove yan and mag nonormalize after ng break-in period.

Ako kasi nung bago pa yung akin, nasa 5-7 km/l lang fuel economy ko. Pero ngayon pag mixed driving nasa 11-13 km/l na. But then again, iba traffic ng metro dito sa pampanga, mas magaan dito hehe.

Anyone availed rustproofing / undercoating? They are suggesting it but I declined.

Actually I never availed one kahit nung binili ko yung GM6 ko.

Ako sir inavail ko yung rustproofing nung kinuha ko sasakyan ko. 4.5k ata yun. Medyo mabasa kasi yung lugar namin, dahil sa mga lubak minsan naiipon yung tubig dun. For added protection lang. I don't know if it would help, pero kinuha ko nalang haha.
