The E already has DRL, fog lamps, alloy wheels, touch screen HU w/ bluetooth, steering wheel controls, white backlight for the speedometer.

It just lacks the glossy finish of the dashboard (which is prone to smudges and scratches anyway), leather steering wheel and shift knob, silver inside door handles, slightly better speedo, and auto climate control.

Is the 109k difference still worth it?
    For me it is.

Yung paddle shifter, no aftermarket option to obtain that. And any given day I'll still choose the dash of VX.

Reading your post? Just get the E variant.

As they say to each his own.

The City E wasn't upgraded to cannibalize the VX, but to offer a superior product over the Vios E. I think they succeeded on that front.

If you want fancy things, shell out an extra 100k for the VX. The only thing I don't like with the VX now is the rim design. Looks like a Beyblade.

Will check nga yan, my officemate before asked me kung ano yung rectangle na yun.

I don't know kako. Thanks sa info!

    remove these

aircon filter 2217.60, you can check if it needs replacement... access via the glove box. will likely need cleaning... not replacement
brake cleaner & paste 450.00 (not needed as you're classified as low mileage)

You can purchase these elsewhere at a lower price:
    aircon filter 2217.60

Have these removed, they are not necessary and they should NOT void warranty no matter what the SA says:
    break cleaner & paste 450.00
    engine flush 1098.00
    X-1R ENGINE TREATMENT 1000.00
    Fuel system cleaner 650.00
    Aircon sterilizer 1200
    aircon cleaner 1200
    engine detailing (waterless) 1100.00
    underwash 385.00
    car wax 550.00

Also, this too much for a couple of rags and miscellaneous items:
    shop material 908.00

One probable "must-have" for choosing VX would be the reverse cam, which is not in the E. All the rest are just "nice to haves", matters of preference than necessity.

Reverse cams are highly available in the aftermarket though, and at a relatively cheaper price too.

Agreed. But sadly, a lot of filipinos (first time car buyer) still assumes that the Vios E is cheaper and has more value than the E variant of City.

Where in fact it’s the other way around.
1.3 vs. 1.5 engine alone seals the deal.

But of course we couldn’t blame them. Since Toyota offers huge discounts as compared to honda. And the social media is flooded with 25k cash out for a Vios advertisements.

why be sad at his choice? e, kung yun lang ang afford niya...

"value" , like beauty , is always relative. (e.g., they value more the cheap price, over the toys.)
it would not do, to assume that one man's value, is the same as how another man sees it.
i know of a few folks who prefer a manual window crank riser, over an electric push-pull button.
similarly, for obvious reasons, a cheaper ride is prefered by many, over a more expensive ride. big discounts, as a means of attracting customers, will never go out of style, never mind that the rims are steel and the HU is sound only.

    Vios 1.3 E 812k
    City 1.5 E 804k

If may budget sila to go with the Vios. Meron din sila for the City.

Agree naman ako sa mga sinabi mo Sir. And in line sa sinabi ko earlier, nagkakatalo sa malalaking discounts kaya Vios gets the upperhand sa market.

Pero if we’re only talking about taking about yung two models na yan. Specs wise, price wise(assuming you get good discounts for both). I guess it’s safe to say na you get more with the City(not by far). Since technically the Vios is not the cheaper one here.

Unless we’re talking about aftermarket or outside casa parts. Then that’s another story since Toyota is unbeatable with that regard, and I can vouch for that since Toyota has always been the primary choice of my parents or the family.

vios vs city. no contest right now city wins easily

i'm actually in the market right now. i'm choosing between city, ecosport, or ertiga. i'm not even considering the vios

1.3 vs 1.5. no brainer. and honda wins in engine technology

    reliability. honda wins

price? well city now has a "fleet" version. P764k. CVT. steel wheels. no foglights

if you can manage w/ MT then it's P759k. steel wheels. with foglights

Hi mga sir, share ko lang yung experience ng friend ko sa Honda Alabang. Pina repair nya kasi yung passenger door side nya dahil nabangga more than a month na nasa Casa yung oto nya (2017 model) kasi nagka prob sya sa insurance and hindi pa available yung parts nung time na pinasok nya.

i put markings on my battery, to make sure that it is still the same battery afterward.
ask the dealer, if the battery can be replaced, as it's not even a year yet under your usage.
