wow, ganda naman ng choices mo for your first car!

i like the mini (how can you not!), pero mas gusto ko yung BMW 1-Series. BMW has been promising to bring the 1-Series sa US, pero until now wala pa rin. It may be the only way I could afford a brand new BMW . I especially like the 130 with the 265 horses...matched with the compact body and RWD, it should be quite the performer.

Or a Swift, an APV and a Jimny... all for the same amount of money. I'd rather take the Jimny off-roading (won't be afraid of scratching it)... the APV commuting and the Swift on weekends.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

You guys will probably get the coupe, actually, before anyone else.

You're not missing much with the five door. Cramped rear... still heavy, despite being small... crashy ride with those early run-flats... hey, it's just like an old 3-series!

too_jealous, perhaps you'd want to checkout the Focus 2.0 Sport?

Maybe you can upgrade to a Mini or BMW in the future.

Actually the 1-series is not that heavy for a RWD car, for example the BMW 120i A/T weighs 1275 kg (2805 lbs), the FWD Mazda 3 2.3 hatchback weighs 1282 kg (2826 lbs).

    BMW's 265hp 130i...

curb weight: 1375 kg (3031 lbs)
    Top Speed: 250km/h (155mph)
    0-100km/h: 6.1 sec

why not a mazda 3 hatch ? .. it's small with good handling .. it has good looks .. and hindi masakit kung ma-ding (since you're a new driver) ..

then kung magaling ka na .. sell it and then choose between a mini and a bmw .. i'd go for a tricked out mini ..

I really like the Ford Focus ST... so I might as well scream it here as a suggestion.

Actually, they're both pretty heavy... but then, that's a given for any new car...

And I agree, the Focus Sport is a very good choice. (and it is, by the way, heavier than either the BMW or the Mazda... )

Kung 1.8M and 1-series, i'll just get a certified pre-owned na 2005 e46. Ok din yun Focus Hatch 2.0 na white.
