September 9th, 2006 12:10 PM #51hey ! nice of you to drop by
but not to be rude or anything ... buy yeah ive heard of the SRT-4 and i know that its one of the most sought after car to be modified there in the states
but i guess if your just going to shipped that car here in the philippines, you might as well just give the money to your brother and let him buy a 2nd hand evo 7 or 8 / subaru STi coz after all the hassles and taxes ... itll be that expensive plus he would have a hard time getting parts for that neon if ever it breaks down coz theres no dodge neon here in the philippines

September 10th, 2006 05:50 AM #55Yeah i saw the new ad for the 2006 model. As much as i like the s2000, there's no way i'd ever pay $65,000 dollars for one especially when i'm only going to use it for probably 2-3 months out of the year when i'm visiting the philippines.. I texted the guy advertising the 2002 S2000 for under 2M. I'm hoping he still has it. Thanks for the link.

How about this??? I have a rolling chassis that I'd like to send to Manila. It's a wrecked 2002 RSX DC5. NO Motor No Interior! Is that something that I can even send back home??? I just wanna turn it into a track/off-road car.

I think you are correct here, my brother is also trying to ship his '02 Expedition to the Philippines and since it is a 9 seater (3 rows that can each seat 3), he mentioned about his SUV being considered commercial vehicle once it entered the Philippines thus he gets much less tax payment.

January 2nd, 2007 11:08 AM #59Hi, was reading thru. Its actually easier to have the vehicle shipped. By experience so far was i had my 3rd gen eclipse shipped FREE via military acquaintance...if you know any service member who has their home of record na pinas in their service record and about to retire, have the vehicle in their name and he/she would have it shipped sa atin...FREE pero ofcourse its up to both parties agreement.
Now i have heard terrible stories sa pag claim but when i went with my freind to claim it, everything was smooth namam...tsambahan lang siguro.

I brought in a 1st gen BMW 320i in 1980. Car$8000, Registration$600 in PA (initially registered in my aunties name but changed her mind for fear of being investigated by the IRS so was later registered under my mothers name with the car already in the Phil.) shipping $1500,P10,000 to add 1 page to my mothers passport to make her a Balikbayan, Taxes and duties P80,000 (equivalent to 2 brand new Opel Mantas that time). Will I still do it? YES because I now have friends in the gray market and will com out cheaper. Will I import the car on my own? NOLast edited by Si 06; January 2nd, 2007 at 03:56 PM. Reason: d
