I brought in a 1st gen BMW 320i in 1980. Car$8000, Registration$600 in PA (initially registered in my aunties name but changed her mind for fear of being investigated by the IRS so was later registered under my mothers name with the car already in the Phil.) shipping $1500,P10,000 to add 1 page to my mothers passport to make her a Balikbayan, Taxes and duties P80,000 (equivalent to 2 brand new Opel Mantas that time). Will I still do it? YES because I now have friends in the gray market and will com out cheaper. Will I import the car on my own? NO
