October 2nd, 2007 07:24 PM #252sir Ditto,
i can relate to your problems.
we have a 2004 4x4 ford everest.
namatayan yung kapatid ko ng battery wala pang 1 year of use. grabe!
although no complaints naman ako sa takbo ng everest.
may mga questions lang ako:
1. saan kayo nagpapalinis ng aircon? magkano? alam ko kasi babaklasin yung buong dashboard just to service the aircon. i want a "professional" to do it. hehehe
2. i have a small problem with my clutch. minsan kahit anong ganda at dahan-dahan ng bitaw ko, super na-nginginig. has anyone experienced this? sabi ng isang shop baka daw kailangan i-reface yung clutch plate.
thanks in advance for your replies

Kung less than 1 year eh namatay na yung battery, dapat ni-replace yan for free because the battery has 1 year warranty. Yan din ang nangyari sa jazz ko, namatay nung 11th month. Galing Thailand yung battery pero ni-replace nila without questions. Mas magaling pa yata ang motolite

re: aircon cleaning
no need to remove the whole dashboard... just open the glove compartment and pull it off, makikita mo na agad yung aircon components doon & very accessible na lahat
sa rear aircon, just remove the 3rd row seat, remove the plastic (with metal clips) & doon mo na makikita yun. take note dapat dahan-dahan lang mag-remove ng metal clips, kasi pag nasira yun, mahirap makahanap ng replacement!
re: clutch
ilang years na sir yung everest nyo? nakapagpalit na ba kayo ng clutch or pressure plate? na-try nyo ba yung '4th gear rolling start' method para ma-test kung ok pa yung pressure plate?
re: battery
since our rides are CBU (completely built-unit) from Thailand... it doesn't mean the battery is 'brand new' at the time you've taken the car outside the casa... yung akin july 2005 ko nakuha yung everest ko pero yung battery manufactured april 2005. This means almost 3 months na walang activity yung battery!
btw yung OE battery ko oks pa naman, yun lang nilipat ko na sa farm tractor namin at bumili na ako ng AC Delco for my everest (this was last June 2007).

bihira ko gawin 'to... pero simple lang... full stop in levelled ground, no obstacles in front ... engine running, shift to 4th gear then try to lift the clutch very slowly... add little gas para di mamatay engine...
pag heavy shaking ang nangyari, pressure plate is the problem. pag yung rpm goes up & no/very minimal acceleration, clutch slippage naman.
possibly ... dahil di nyo ginagamit masyado kaya nasira ang battery... suggestion ko at least start the engine & warm it up for about 10 minutes (or ikot-ikot lang sa loob ng village/baranggay) every 2 weeks para di masira ang battery, engine, brakes, bearings, etc...

October 5th, 2007 08:42 AM #260Thanks for the advise.
The low mileage doesn't mean that I didn't use the car daily. The car is used to bring my children daily to their school beside that all access road going to school are good. I even used my evehicle with extra care. But despite of this, all this hustles.
Medyo mahirap tanggapin dahil first time ito na nangyari sa akin. Hindi katulad ng Honda at Toyota. Malayo masyado sa quality ng Everest.
I would still prefer a hydrogen car
