Just to update this thread, the unit was brought to Ford Commonwealth. There was an error on the crankshaft sensor kaya namamatay engine during or about to idle. The fault was fixed, ok na ulit. Damage was 3.5k.

Wow surprised at reasonable ang price ng crankshaft sensor...Did they replace it or just clean and tightened the sensor connectors lang plus reset ng fault codes?...If it's the latter lang mahal naman hehehe.

i carouselled it just now. crankshaft sensor.
virtually every ad (various cars) said "call for pricing".
    i am wondering,
mayroon bang kababalaghan na nangyari recently?
not a single seller was willing to advertise his price!

Crankshaft sensor? Is that the same as a magnetic pick-up? the one located on the bell housing for counting the revolutions of the flywheel by generating an electrical pulse for each pass of a flywheel tooth? Those things last forever. Or should i say "used to last forever"???

If it is not damaged adjustment lang yun dapat. Distance from sensor to flywheel tooth is 3/4 turn out - tighten until the sensor touches the tooth of the flywheel, loosen 3/4 turn, tighten the lock nut. Or if you want to be by the book, use a 0.6 mm feeler gauge

Kung ganun ang mahal naman adjustment luwag or tightened moves ng Casa nun hehe.

Most of the problem is also poor contact ng mga electrical connectors from the main harness, happened na sa ken. Disconnect Spray contact cleaner and snap it back in. Reset via OBD clear codes.

Stretched timing chain and worn chain tensioner guide could often lead to misdiagnosing electrical and cam/crankshaft sensors. Check the chains if problem recurs.
