same ng 2.4 montero.. linear acceleration.. hindi malakas ang sipa pero ramdam yung bulk power to move the truck na tuluy tuloy going higher speed.. pabor po sa passenger..

Unlike sa trailblazer at fortuner (on power mode).. andun yung sipa from 0-60 km/h.. pero yung fortuner medyo hihina na sa 80 km/h pataas, while the trailblazer tuluy tuloy..

To compare to its 3.2 and 2.2 wildtrak brother, almost same ulit ng 3.2 and pero mas feel mo yung 2.2.. Problema lang sa 2.2 dahil less power, mabilis nga sa pakiramdam, mabilis din maubusan ng hininga.. hehe..

And the engine sound is muffled, buo na Humming inside the cabin na parang me konting sarao jeepney sound when hard accelerating..

Maganda dito, dahil siguro sa Active noise cancellation feature even when you play between 3k to 4k rpm during sports mode, hindi nakaka bother yung engine noise sa driver lalo na sa passenger na tapak ka ng tapak sa gas pedal...

Tahimik yung engine to be fair (inside), but Hindi sya masarap pakinggan like the old montero with smooth high pitch note (subjective)which you like to floor more..

Pero better naman yan sa 2.4/2.8 fortuner na parang sasabog during hard acceleration...

And lastly, engine vibration is superb.. Wala ako masabi even hard accelerating.. thats additional Pogi points to its NVH..

Overall NVH is slighly better than the 3.2 and almost the same with the 2.2 version wildtrak..

Anu ba naman magagawa ng basag basag na kalsada at putol putol na semento sa 33 inches tires nito! Parang yung asphalt tarmac same lang sa ordinary road... almost non existent na yung pang gising na white lines sa kalsada...

additional Features, Head unit sound quality, etc.. etc... is same same with the regular ranger wildtrak..

Interesting, we have the same insights with the performance of today's diesel pickups/PPVs.

2.2 is lively but also falls short easily, 3.2 doesn't feel as athletic but more like a locomotive. Also agree that the 2.4 4N15 feels more linear especially compared to the jekyll and hyde 4D56. Fort 2.4 also very responsive at low revs and city speeds but easily loses steam.

Curious though if the Ranger Raptor feels civilized on smooth roads and the highway. I had a Ranger 2.2 before and even with H/T tires, matagtag pa rin with small road undulations emphasized. Not as bad as a Hilux though.

We put agad tube tire with sand after 2 days to have added weight at the back to lessen the slight bounciness at the back.. we lower also the tire pressure to 35 psi (while hot) so its around 30 psi (cold)

it is still a pickup kahit pa sya naka fox shocks which is design to improve handling on tarmac, but a beast off-road (exceptional ride and handling)..

I would say the ride is as civilized as current ford everest...

based on review the 2019 everest is modified again to be the benchmark in suv ppv ride comfort so that will be a different story....

Hmmm...I don't think the Everest is the benchmark when it comes to ride comfort. The ride in my brother-in-law's MU-X certainly feels more comfortable, but with 17" rims vs the Eve's 20". Even the Montero's ride quality is better than the Eve's because of the former's softer suspension.

Handling quality is a different category though. I guess the Everest would have the edge there.

Hehe.. Thats according sir to review of caradvice.com.au the soon to be released 2019 ford everest 2.0 bi turbo..

Accdg to review, ford revised the suspension geometry of my19 everest for softer and better handling ride.. its also better in everything than sa 3.2 version, NVH, engine smoothness, quiter cabin..

Theres also additional soft spots for supportive seats..

If thats all true, it ticks all the comfort im looking in a vehicle.. nice ride quality, better NVH, smooth engine, roomy interior, soft and supportive seats...

Well, to drive & ride is to believe when it comes to our shore. [emoji4]

I prefer the stiffer ride of the Everest and Fortuner compared to the wallowy MUX and Montero.

For cars this high, a soft ride means a lot of nose dive during braking and a generally floaty ride even on well-paved surfaces.

Among the PPVs I've driven, the Everest has the best handling in the sense that it tackles corners very well without too much body roll, yet has a relatively liveable ride as far as PPVs go.
