The Raptor exceeds all my expectations so far - power is great (compared to my 2013 Montero 4x4 manual), the steering feels precise, NVH/ride quality is better than my Montero and looks are stunning. I miss the tire pressure monitoring system of my Montero. Build quality is superb, and the ride height is imposing (you'll look down on most pickups and even SUVs on the road). That said, a drive of less than 300 km is too short to form a good owner's opinion, especially with my restraint on flooring the accelerator pedal during the break-in period.

Right now, mine sits in the garage waiting for the OR/CR, and for a good car wash. I feel like I married a beauty queen, but I'm only allowed to go to bed with her after 2-3 weeks yet.

That is a very pretty bride, love that choice of color. Thanks for the feedback. Hows the cornering, minimal roll? You feel that hugging on the road?

After viewing a lot of Raptor videos in Youtube, my initial color preference was red or blue because my old Montero is black and na-umay na ako sa itim. But when I saw the Raptors in black, red and blue in real life, I went for the black - mas matindi ang personality to my subjective eyes.

I set the terrain management to normal (supposed to be anemic in responsiveness) during my first drive, yet when I accelerate hard during corners, I'm already impressed with the power delivery, handling and controlled roll (way better than my Montero). The wider track gives you confidence to do sudden lane changes even at higher speeds. I look forward to trying the Baja mode in unpaved roads as soon as I've broken it in.

BTW, the normal freebies of LTO registration, tint and matting don't come free with the Raptor for now, you have to pay for these. Not too bad a deal though compared to what the Thais (THB 1.7M or PHP 2.84M) and the Ozzies (AUD 75K, or PHP 2.9M) are paying for theirs.

Good morning, afficionados. I need your valued advice before I decide. You see my two cars are twenty y (Civic) and
and sixteen years old (Crv) and running. I am considering a pickup because of their hardiness and favolow excise taxes. I keep my vehicles for a long time. Would you recommend a Ford Raptor in my situation?

this is a leisure vehicle. while doable as an only car or daily driver it is highly impractical because of mainly the x-large size especially in the city.

With all the talk about the fancy suspension parts the Raptor has, I wonder how much it will cost to replace them when they eventually wear out...

The reasons why you have those two small cars may not work for this big truck. But the disadvantages of them being small will not be a problem with this. In fact you will be on top of these cars and you can see them clearly from side to side.
Parking will be a chore but the camera is there to help you. You have to l8ke big cars or trucks if you want to keep this that long.
Hope this helps but im no expert just sharing my thoughts.
