it won't be as common as your other choices though, since it's far more expensive and people these days stay away from big gas suv's. the montero sport, fortuner and santa fe will be the most common suv's you'll see on our streets.

    I digress...

By the way, if you are really willing to wait, then GO AND LINE UP FOR THE EXPLORER SPORT VERSION! It doesn't have the same many features as the Limited pero you get the twin turbo charged direct injection engine.... VROOM VROOM VROOM!
Yung mga naka-T ba yan? "etong gusto ko mataas ang resale value!"

    Agreed again.

I declined after I got a confirmation of the delivery from Ford Laguna. Nevertheless, I would get a Trailblazer if I had extra cash to buy with and another parking space in our condo. With the Trailblazer, you get a better ride comfort. Again, as owners of T would say, "Chevrolet walang re-sale yan" hehe!

And I don't agree with the owners of "T" are saying. Gumaganda na resale value ng American brands, basta diesel nga lang Kami naman wait and see mode pa rin sa Explorer. Kung wala nang mataas na D.I. at wala nang ibang hinihinging payment ang mga dealers, we will consider this soon

si EQAddict naman halos lahat ng lumabas ng magagandang SUV na under 3M eh nag karon siya. anyway you only need to pay the extra D.I. ford is asking if you want to get it asap but if you're willing to wait 6-8 months no need to pay extra.

In my opinion, it's best to walk away from or say no to the extra D.I. and dealers' HIFI schemes if you can wait it out.

With this explorer, I got the most preferential 3-year rate from my bank (what rate? secret ) and a more affordable comprehensive insurance rate * P40k (versus the P75k from dealer). The sales agent at FORD Laguna even told me personally not to get the HIFI scheme and insurance that they offer when I was making the reservation deposit. Honest naman hehe!

By any chance na isa sa inyo ang friend ng friend ko na na-flat ang gulong ng Explo kanina? Tumawag kasi kaibigan ko sa akin, asking where the jack is located kasi na-flat daw yung gulong.

ako i had no choice but to purchase the explorer through their in-house financing. i really needed to buy the car already asap since the buyer of my forester gave me a week before he purchases from some one else. so no choice ako kung hindi sayang naman bibili ng forester ko. my deal was 10% d.i. 2 years finance and 60k on in house insurance. the explorer was the first car i purchased through financing, dati pag bumili ako parati cash.

Today, when I started my Explo... it said that I need to change oil soon. I checked oil life and it's at 1%. I just had the oil changed last December for the 5K pms. I haven't called Ford Global yet coz it was already 5 pm. I will call them tomorrow. What could be the problem?

Baka hindi lang na-reset sir. Worst case niyan baka hindi talaga nila pinalitan yun oil.

    Wag naman sana!

So yung naka-indicate na 1% sa Oil Life Monitor.... ibig sabihin ba ay 1% na lang ang life ng engine oil OR 1% pa lang ang nabawas sa life ng engine oil? Coz I remember when I got my unit, the Oil Life Monitor percentage went up as the mileage went up.

They just forgot to reset the oil life monitor. You can do the reset your self. Hindi kasi automatic that when the oil is drained, it will automatically reset count. Naka sched naman next wednesday for PMS.

Oo nga pala pwede natin i-reset... it slipped my mind Just did the reset.

*3ple4: yup, just reset. I'm sure Ford Global replaced the oil and filter. Mine is already at 50% oil life from date of purchase. My driving habit must be the cause of that quick oil life.

*EQaddict: As heard through the grapevine, yes the 3.5 liter Ecoboost will be sold here. I think the 2.0 Ecoboost will be discontinued when the new Escape hits the show room.

I finally received the BOSCH wiper set replacement. I'll replace the OEM ones after this summer. Tamang-tama....Now, just waiting for the EXLORER lettering to arrive. Cant wait!

The Sport variant is not worth it IMO. Some features of the Limited variant arr not available in the Sport variant. These features are:
    - Bi-Xenon HID headlamps
    - Active Park Assist
    - Power Tilt and Telescopic Steering Wheel
    - PowerFold 3rd row bench seats
    - Rain sensing windshield wipers

the explorer sport isn't really practical. from reviews, it's not really that much more powerful compared to the limited. for that price iba na lang kunin ko. if you want a powerful and sporty SUV kunin mo na lang x5m,x6m, mb ml63 but those are so darn expensive, cherokee srt8 ka na lang in white. those SUV's will out run and out handle most a lot of sports cars available today in our market.
