I was able to use both Deflector plate holders on front & back. Yeah if I remember correctly, kailangan mag-drill ng butas sa harap if you want to keep the black plastic holder.
Guys i was adviced by my SA that the 1st 1k PMS chekup lang walang pang change oil na involve is this true? is this the same as yours?
Np bro. To all: meron po ba dito nagpa undercoat na for rustproofing? If complete, 12k. Totoo kaya yun? Necessary ba pagawa asap?
All cars now are rust protected from the very start of their painting process thus hardly you will see any 10 yr old car na kalawangin unlike in the 60s-80s. Add to the fact that most of the rust prone areas are now made of plastic, these eliminate the need to rust proof.
Now for your peace of mind and should you desire to have it done, outside shop who's expertise is rust proofing surely can do it better like Ziebart at even less the price casa offer.
Hello guys, newbie here from Pasay. Would just like to ask some info about the EX. Do you use the "quiet start" option in remote start? Also, I've been browsing explorerforums dot com, read topics involving most of the EX. Kinda depressing, knowing that you purchased a car with lots of known issues. Some of those are: windshield noise / rattle above 70mph, 3rd row water leak when raining, ac mildew-like smell on the first few seconds when you turn on the ac, popping / clicking sound on slow turns. Anyone here already experienced those above mentioned issues on their EX? Hoping those are just isolated issues.
I'm also experiencing the aircon weird smell parang kulob when you turn it on, but only for 3-5 secs, then wala na. They said na try daw blower only sa full blast ng fan for about 5mins w/o activating the recirculate. Related din yata to sa recirculate ng aircon pag palagi naka on.. Or possible na di din kasi nagagamit matagal car.
About sa burnt smell acceleration, dko pa din naman naaamoy til now kasi di ko pa naffloor or accelerating to higher rpm. Naexperience ko yan before sa mga previous car ko nung hinahataw ko talaga, may burnt smell after. But now dko pa nattry dahil nagtitipid sa gas hehe
Windshield Noise - CHECK - TSB Done - still experiencing
3rd Row Leak - NONE
AC Mildew Smell - CHECK - TSB Done - Still there sometimes
Popping when turning - NONE
FOUL SMELL - CHECK - TSB Done - Reduced significantly but still present at times
MOON Roof Rattle - CHECK - No TSB but lubricated and checked by FORD Alabang
It's still a great ride even with the annoying issues. You're right in saying we pay lotsa money for something that comes with lots of issues...oh well...c'est la vie!
