Ford Philippines has updated the available colors for EXPLORER. Now available are Ruby Red, Green Gem Metallic and Ginger Ale (parang gold). Not sure if this means Ingot Silver and Sterling Grey are no longer available. And oh, nakita ko sa Ford Alabang na the price will be increased from P2,595,000 to P2,695,000(?).![]()
I saw the specs of the new V6 Limited+ and the new Ecoboost Limited at the website of Ford Philippines. The V6 Limited+ is just like dragonexplorer's and EQAddict's Limited, they just added the rear DVD headrest monitors. While the Ecoboost Limited is the 2011 V6 Limited with the Ecoboost engine instead of the V6 and 4x2 instead of 4x4. The price list doesn't include the Ecoboost XLT anymore.
parati naman ganon sinasabi ng casa sa mga owners when replacing something on their car, but i have friends with tpms on their cars and changed their rims that never experienced any trouble with their tpms. pwede naman have their rims replaced by reputable shops that has experience replacing rims of other cars with tpms, if it cause them problems with tpms they can always put the stock rims back naman.
ako naman i wanted black yon nga lang it was a pain in the ass to keep clean, never again will i own a black car here in the philippines.
*foresterx kumusta yun explorer mo re dun sa lagatok na door? nadala mo na sa casa?
Thanks bro for remembering my color. kasama na kami sa extinct color of choice.
On your TPMS, just like foresterx said, lagi na lang mawawala ang warranty or cannot guaranty sasabihin ng casa. that's simply because they protect their own interest. They should have replied not on the air valve but rahter on the change in mags. As long as one don;t damage the sensor inside the air valve sa pagtangal at pagkabit, it should just fine. Not putting it back is just as worse as parang sira na yung TPMS. Tell your friends to bring it back, aws long as marunong ang gagawa, it should be fine.
Will be heading for the states this monday. anyone know's where to by the shark fin antennae para sa explo ? Sa radio shack , meron kaya ?
Sige will tell him.
As the electronic signage in NAIA goes... "Von Boyage"Bili ka na sa US ng grill ng Explorer Sports para isipin ng mga tao dito naka-Sports edition ka na hehehe!
In my case, noong binalik yung gulong, hindi naman umilaw yung TPMS sensor, I guess ok na sya or dapat pa ibalik sa Ford to reprogram? As I understand when I talked to a service advisor from Ford Global, kung umilaw lang yung sensor tsaka ko ibalik sa kanila para i-reprogram. But in my case, hindi na sya umilaw.
It should be OK, iilaw lang cya pag start ng engine after few second, mamatay na yung indicator. So walang ilaw sa iyo with engine on, kaya tagumpay ka.
Yung unit ko has been in nitro rigth after ilabas ko sa kasa, kaya hindi ko na napansin yung difference. What i know is it does not expand much meaning yung air kasi pag uminit ang gulong, the pressure inside expands by 2-4 psi relative to ambient.
G'day. This is my first post in this forum.
I just made a deposit/reservation for platinum white limited+ explorer at Ford Alabang. The salesgirl said the unit will be available anytime next month but I didn't really buy what she told me knowing there have been a long line of buyers. Anyone can tell me what the waiting time is?
Thanks for all the posters here, after many weeks of deciding between the Explorer and CX-9, I've finally decided on the former. The postings here made a big influence on that decision.
I'm looking forward to the day I pick it up and drive it to Batangas-Mindoro-Aklan-Ilo-ilo-Bacolod and finally Dumaguete where I live.
Peace.
Congratulations on your decision! There is a long line especially for White Platinum. There are new colors out I believe if you want to change your mind and get your unit sooner.
Good luck and hope you get your unit soon! My unit is in for warranty servicing for the Exhaust Smell and A/C Smell.
Thanks for the reply sir dragon.
I mentioned to the SA the issue about the exhaust smell issue, she replied it happened only on earlier makes and has been fixed on the current Limited+, not sure if this is true but will find out later when the unit comes. For some reason I find it hard to believe what car dealers say, just a little less than politicians of course,. Anyway I'm happy to wait a little bit if the line is indeed long.
On another note I would like to share this quotes from the SA (cut & paste from my email):
" Here are the prices for your requested accessories:
1) window deflectors - 6,073.00 4pcs.
2) splash guards - 2,514.00 rear and 3,255.00 front
3) floor mats - floor mats all weather 4pcs only from FGP 11,055.00
4) cargo area protector - 5,795.00
5) cargo security shade - 20,343.00
3-4 weeks upon ordering.. "
My jaw dropped when I compared the prices from these website:
2013 Ford Explorer Exterior Accessories | The Official Site for Ford Custom Accessories
Where do you guys get your accessories besides shipping them in from the States? The casa prices are marked up too high.
I was able to get my 2013 Explorer Limited+ in Platinum White, courtesy of Ford Alabang. They let me pay in cash and select my insurance. Around 53k with AOG. No difference with the Limited units before MIAS, except for the DVD headrest and price increase of 100k. I made reservation around March. I got the OEM explorer matting as well (like weathertech), free LTO, front seats side windows and full windshield tint for free. I'm quite happy with the initial experience. Overall satisfied with the purchase.
