No clue on the price. Ford Global City doesn't know yet. Important thing is to have a reservation in place. Ford Explorer has a long wait list in Ford. 164 units on queue when I asked. Fortunately, only a few have reserved for the Ranger.

I think the pricing will be 1.4 mil to 1.5 mil for the 2.2 4x4 TOTL wildtrak as for the 2.2 4x2 TOTL estimate around 1.1 mil

grabe, it looks like a more agressive toyota hilux with better performance than a strada...so people who love the looks of the hilux and hate its non-VGT engine but hate the stupid girly look of the strada(like me) go for this....a bit pricey though

Yung Toyota 3.0 VNT equipped yun (same as vgt). Yung 2.5 lang ang hindi.

So sa TOTL na 3.2 at 2.2 applicable yang sinasabi mo.

notice the bed liner on the back covers only the insides and not the top of the wall of the bed. prone to scratches when loading. this does not seem to be a problem for the wildtrak though.

the penta 3.2 might cost alot! i doubt it would bee in 1.4-1.6m price range. it maybe in the 1.8-2m price or higher knowing that its a 5 cylinder. like the navara v6 or the hilux v6 not being sold in the philippines because of high pricing!

so if they're not gonna sell the 3.2, would you still buy the 2.2?

Sana maganda fc, and sulit ang features ng 2.2 variant and wag na lumapas ng P1.1M. And hopefully may test drive unit na sila pag release. And i wish na massive improvement ang quality ang vehicles na ilalabas nila. if ever masusulot ang strada and hilux and eto na unang pick up ko. wohooooo.

I know that Ford Cars have low resale value... does that apply to 4x4 Pickups from Ford too?

Yes pa din. Kahit i-check mo sa sulit or ayosdito. Problem kasi is the replacement parts esp. if in the provinces.

If the pick-up meets expectations of the masses! the resale value would be high if not then its low.

If the new Ranger lives up to the specs and it lives up to the Built Ford Tough tag line, then expect this truck to be a winner.

By far, it has the best specs and features in its class. Key ones for me are:

    - highest HP/Torque in its class
    - 6-speed AT tranny. The only one.
    - 800mm clearance when going through water. I know my 94 Hilux can do better but that's because of very little electronics then.
    - creative storage space
    - largest rear passenger leg space in its class

Once you slap on aftermarket bumpers (front and rear) from ARB and install coils and shocks from OME, this will be one awesome looking truck.

Oh, and I don't hear of news that carjackers like Ford.trucks. That's a plus too for security. But if it becomes a winner, it might figure in carjacking incidents in the future.

Reliability and parts (genuine - not replacement) are key here.

The 09-11 Ranger appear to have high asking prices at sulit.

Wildtrak 3.2 A/T is expected to be near Php 1.6M (based on exchange rate with Malaysian ringgit).

I guess kaya din siguro delayed ilalabas yung ranger para makabwelo muna yung sales nung BT-50...
