After reading most of the posts here, can anybody tell me what is in the lcd display? on the multi information screen? its functions?
Can it all be replaced with a new head unit with gps function? this is what I am looking for, what has to be done about it since there is no gps, back up sensor or back up camera. The 2.2 engine is good enough for me since it is vgt and 6 speed, so I go for this one.

^^^ It's real wheel drive. All pickups are rear wheel drive or four wheel drive. Whatever gave you the idea it's front wheel drive?

Chevrolet will be releasing the Colorado in the coming weeks. All of its engines will be available. Ford Philippines really needs to ask Ford global HQ to give them the go signal to start selling the 3.2 Wildtrak as soon as possible if they really want to have a healthy competition.

This one is the all new global Colorado, built in Thailand and different from the North American version. Kalaban ng all new Global Ranger. Diesel din ang engine and the new D-Max is based on this. So how can you say the new Colorado is one of the most unreliable vehicles? If that's true, dapat marami nang reklamo from the Thai owners.

not to start an argument and this isn't the thread for it but chevrolet isn't known for it's trucks and failed miserably on all their truck line ups these past decade. i'd buy other cars that they offer but not their trucks/pick-up any time soon.

^^^ Agreed, if Chevrolet does not have a good track record of building pickups, then it would be hard to assume that this one is any different. Not much complaints in Thailand maybe because very few buyers there also compared to the new Ford Ranger.

Lets see how people respond to these new thai made pick up trucks. If ford wont bring the 3.2 engine anytime soon i would pick the 2.8 colorado over the 2.2 ranger which seem underpowered for a heavy truck, 150HP lang. :laughbounce:

The XL is meant to be the affordable 4x4 model.

Its the most expensive for now in the current range (4x4 XL and 4x2 XLT), because the higher-end models like the Wildtrak haven't been introduced yet.

PS: *P1.179K, it's still one of the most affordable 4x4 pickups sold here (not including the chinese knock-off pickups of course ).

Kaya nga ehh...Sana naglabas sila ng xlt na 4x4..mas prefer ko yun kaysa wildtrak. GPS at rear view camera lang difference. So next year ka na kukuha nung wildtrak? Ang tagal na naman kasi ng hintayan for wildtrak indefinite pa kung kailan lalabas next year.

I'm guessing the initial local Ranger lineup is probably the ones Ford Philippines thinks will sell in higher volumes.
I think there is still space for a 4x4 XLT that could fill the gap between the XL and Wildtrak models, so far Ford Philippines hasn't announced much details, but they did confirm through their FB page that the Wildtrak they will launch next year is the 3.2 liter model.

The 3.2 liter Duratorq TDCi makes 200 PS and 470 Nm of torque.

    Wildtrak

Update: Oh well, Ford Philippines said on their FB page that they look to having the Wildtrak as their high-spec 4x4 next year in response to the question if there will be a 4x4 XLT model.
