Better check pa din with the mechanic if okay yan. Baka kasi sa 40mins total eh bumaba na din oil sa oil pump mechanism. Baka sumablay pa din.

Yung 2.2 engine pala ng ranger is the same engine used by Land Rover Defender 2007-2011 model-- ang pinagkaiba Lang yung displacement 2.4 sa landrover 2.2 Lang sa ranger... It looks like iba ang engine model ng 3.2 sa 2.2

Correct me if I'm wrong mga tsikoteers...

On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, the puma engine was rated at 9.

Share ko lang for those who have reached 30T kms to check on your brake pads, noticed ko kasi hindi even yung wear mas mabilis maubos yung outer pads sa front right wheel kaysa sa outer pads ng front left wheel.

I interchanged them para maging even yung wear, now that it has reached 50T kms I checked it again malapit na mag-even yung wear but I also noticed that the inner pads for both front wheel ay mas matagal maubos kaysa sa outer pads. You might want to check your ranger for premature uneven wear so you can save on your brake pads.

Surprised nga ako kasi usually sa automatic cars 30T kms due na for replacement ang mga brake pads kaya I checked it kasi palagi rin ako may heavy load pero so far ok pa. May nabasa rin ako sa foreign forum na abot ng 60T kms bago magpalit in my case kaya umabot kasi medyo malayo pa sa warning indicator na built in sa brake pads.

So Far wala na problem sir after mapalitan ng hose from intercooler, tapos had my oil change ulit yesterday using a timer para to follow yung 10 min drain time sa advisory, noticed ko lang na may tumutulo pa after 10 mins of draining pero binalik ko na rin yung drain plug just to be sure na di ma-totally drain yung vane type oil pump tapos mabilisang palit ng oil filter para masalinan ko agad ng fresh engine oil.

Used it today so far drives like new again, binalik ko rin yung OEM na 17s set of tires mas comfortable talaga yung ride as compared to the 18s of the wildtrak. Super happy na naman ulit ako sa performance ng ranger hoping na wala ng lumabas na problem other than regular consumable parts.

Manual tranny ba yung sayo sir? Kumusta yung performance ng shifting? I'm considering kasi to get yung facelifted na XLS 4x4 kasi 150 Hp at 375 nm na rin yung torque unlike yung dating 4x4 XL na 120HP lang.

Manual... Smooth shifting naman, Napancin Ko Lang Kahit 2nd gear, you need to fully depress the clutch for a smooth shifting... Yung mga magsasabi na nag gear hunting daw, Bopols Lang mag maneho mgA yun... Or baka na confuse Lang Sila sa reverse... Coz its positioned on the 1st gear, pero you need to pull the lever to engage it at reverse.

Thanks sa info about driving a manual tranny, talagang nasa diskarte ng driver ang smooth transition in shifting between gears.

Yung naging crack ng turbo hose ko sa may upper elbow yun daw at sa lower elbow ang common na defect ng turbo hose ng ranger, buti na lang nasira sakto bago nag-expire warranty.

Uh, gear hunting refers to ATs. 😊

It's when the transmission lags because it can't decide between, say, second or third gear.

Mas madali pa nga for me yung clutch ng Ranger kaysa sa Altis. In general actually, mas forgiving lagi ang diesel na manual.

Kahit bitawan mo ng biglaan ang clutch tapos walang gas, di ka mamamatayan because the torque can keep the engine from stalling. Sa gas mas precise dapat.

That said, cars with electronic throttles have more throttle lag than their mechanical counterparts from 1 decade ago. Mas instantaneous ang response ng throttle dati so mas madali timplahin. But still, madali lang magadjust if you take the time to understand the car.

Really?...I must test drive a manual ranger, bakit kaya sa early pages marami nagko-complain na hirap talaga sila magtimpla at madalas namamatayan lalo na kapag hanging at traffic kahit daw matagal na silang nagdr-drive ng manual. Parang it takes time daw to learn yung start up from stand still or it's just them.

Hindi kaya dapat sa 2nd gear na magumpisa kung walang load para smooth anyway malakas naman ang torque? Meron din kasi nagsasabi na very short lang ang 1st gear kaya mahirap sa stop and go traffic, ganun ba talaga?
