2012 Ford Ranger

Its much heavier because the New Ranger is much larger than the Strada.

The New Ranger's 2.2 Duratorq TDCi engine is small, but it produces 375Nm * 1500rpm - 2500 rpm, more than most of the larger displacement engines of its competitors.
For comparison:
Strada 2.5 4x2 torque: 350Nm * 1800rpm - 3500rpm
Hilux 2.5 4x2 torque: 260Nm * 1600rpm - 2400rpm (to be replaced by a new 2.5 which produces 343Nm * 1600rpm -2800rpm of torque)
Colorado 2.5 4x2 torque: 350Nm * 2000rpm
Navarra 2.5 4x2 torque: 356Nm * 2000rpm

Noticed that too. The Ranger is longer, wider and higher than the Strada.

Question is, does the 2.2 have enough low end grunt and linear power delivery like what its paper specs say?

From early reviews of journalists sent to Thailand, there haven't really been any complaints, though I'd like to hear more user feedback and straight up comparos with existing trucks.

they won't be launched until next year. I was just lucky. I ordered it back in September of last year when I drove it in the International launch in Australia. Then the Tsunami happened and Thailand was delayed in production. Philippines only got a handful of units, not enough to launch, so they sold me this one

Problem sa mga bagong units ay ung mga bugs and recalls. You will never know unless tested na for a year or two. Minsan nga mas matagal pa lumalabas ung recall. Btw i love this white wildtrack

Interior is a bit dull for me, but the exterior compensates for it.

Nakuha niya for 1,519,000. Yang yung Wildtrak 4x4 3.2 A/T.. This goes for the few Wildtraks that ended up here.

Wala yatang ilalabas na 2.2 XLT 4x4 ang Ford. 3.2 Wildtrak at yung 2.2 XL lang yata ang 4x4 variants ng Ranger na ibebenta ng Ford dito sa atin
