Hello T6 owners...

Got our White Ranger XLT M/T last June 6 from Ford Global City. Inquired about it last May 23 with Ford Global and 3 other dealers around the metro, but was advised by all of them that the unit's availabilty(preferred color/transmission) during that time would be between the 1st or 2nd week of June. We never placed any reservation fees or any amount to all the SAs we had correspondence with from the 4 dealerships, for us to be lined up with other potential buyers eventhough some of them were requiring us to do so. Instead, we asked them to just notify us when a unit is already available. Then after 2weeks, the SA from Ford Global was the first dealer who notified us right away with the unit's availability last June 6 around 12PM. So I funds-transferred the required D.P. to the dealership's account through BPI around 2PM, went to the dealership around 5pm, went through all the peperwork and waited for the unit to be tinted, then the unit was released around 7PM. What's very convenient with our transaction with the SA was, mostly our communication was just through texts and calls only right from the start few weeks ago, until we got the unit 2weeks later and this SA never asked us for any D.I. Anyway, got the standard freebies(INS, LTO, CMF, floor mats, seat covers, tint, etc.) with Vkool OEM Tint (wrapped around/VK series full windshield) and 25liters of free fuel.

Really , you got free insurance from them ? and VKool VK Series tint on the windshield ?.....good for you ! Never thought they gonna give that for free.....

^ congrats on ur new rig. Based on experience, using euro4 grade diesel doesnt necessarily translate to better fc. It will however give you smoother engine response, less smoke and vibrations and cleaner egr

Guys, meron ba kayo napapansin sa passenger front door , while,opening it may squeeky na parang plastic na tumutunog? I dont know if thats inside the side mirror , but not certain.... Nakaka irita lang kc bago ng unit may ganon.... Hay. Pati nga ung clip under the passenger sit front lose tread na. Pina warranty ko na sa casa... Intay lng daw ako ng feedback from planta. Da hell...

Ung sa clip naman, un po ung pinaka clip ng tela sa sit. Sira na sya hndi na kumakapit kaya kpg na upuan mo sya may tutunog kasi hndi na sya naka kapit. And dun nmn sa side mirror door, paano po ginawa nila? May kinalas pa sila? If so alin? Hmmm.

Upon hearing rumors that seaoil has now gone to as low as euro II, I tried Unioil Euro IV diesel yesterday morning. Its a good thing there is one nearby in Marikina. I also took a sample to see the transparency of the oil compared to the previous I used (Petron and Seaoil--sorry didnt have the old pictures of these anymore).

Based on initial observation:

1. Noticeably smoother than the seaoil (which is already a big improvement back then coming from petron TD)
2. Less..er smoke than Seaoil
3. Fuel color is less yellowish and more transparent than seaoil (and waay more transparent than petron TD)
4. No water contaminants (station based)
5. Cant see any small particles...basically good and clean.

I'm surprised they allowed you to fill up with just a Coke bottle. That's usually a big no-no due to the potential meltdown of the PET and superheating of the fuel once the bottle is left under the sun.

Hanapin mo sa sulit pre. Nakausap ko nagbebenta niyan, tumawag sakin last week kase nag inquire ako dati. Price niya is 22K inclusive of the freight charge daw. Taga Ford Iloilo daw siya. Told him, balikan ko siya pag decided na ako kase moratorium kako ako sa gastos dito kay rango. If pursue mo din to e medyo ingat lang kase wala naman guarantee na papadala niya item kung papadala mo bayad. If tutuloy ako, kaliwaan gagawin kong deal. Merchandise muna before bayad, yan ay kung papayag din siya.

Hinde na din makapaghintay ang wife ko, kaya we availed of their promo/inhouse financing. Paid 20% of the SRP, and everything else is free. Normally, hinde naman free yung INS dun sa promo nila na yun na 20%DP, pero kung ma-approve ka with BPI through them, i-fefree na din nila yung INS with the package. Roughly between 3k-4k din ang difference sa monthly terms against bank PO; Though somehow it looked a bit similar na din kse kung bank PO ka, mas malaki cashout mo kse you'll be paying probably INS, CMF, LTO separately other than the DP of the unit itself, as well as yung default freebies na dapat kasama nung unit would be stripped off then they'll have you pay for it separately din. So technically yung 3k-4k difference sa monthly fees namen from inhouse financing, shouldered the cost of the freebies that came with the unit. What's good with Ford Global/Autohub Group, they carry or install Vkool OEM tints with their units, unlike ata sa iba 3M ang free. I requested na i-full windshield na instead of visor only. Tapos tinanong ko price difference kung VK series ang ikakabit against OEM, not sure kung newbie lang yung SA pero, sbe niya 1+++ lang yung idadag to upgrade to VK. Hinde naman pala ganun kamahal and since kikita naman yung dealership smen, kinulit ko na lang yung SA na i-upgrade na to VK series. Eventually pumayag din siya. So yung SA may ginawang some kind of paperwork for additonal fuel, then they filled up the tank later on, not sure kung how much yun pero sabi nila 25liters daw yung kinarga nila. Under observation ko yung unit since 150kms na lang at first 1k PMS na namen. I've been researching about possible or known issues with the Ranger based dito sa forum and other resources online para ma-brought up ko sa kanila sa first PMS. So far, napansin ko wala talagang hood insulation yung unit unlike other Rangers released previously. Tinanong ko yung SA kung baket ganun kse compared with their other Ford units released and on-display sa showroom(e.g. Focus, Mustang, Fiesta, etc.) lahat may insulation yung hood. Sbe nung SA sken, she''ll get back to me at itatanong niya pa sa boss niya. Tapos parang minsan hinde nagrerespond or hinde ma-recognize yung voice control yung boses ko kahit na tama naman yung keywords/commands na sinasbe ko. Then like what was mentioned on previous posts, walang beep or sound yung beltminder kapag hinde ako naka-seatbelt. Dapat meron yun, even sa owner's manual indicated dapat may sound yun. Mga minor concerns lang namen yung iba, and I'll make sure na ma-raise ko yung mga issues sa first PMS.

So far, satisfied pa din naman kme ng wife ko. Ang gusto ka lang itanong sa mga fellow ranger XLT owners, kung standard ba talaga sa XLT na walang headlight levelling switch yung unit naten? Not sure kung default siya sa Wildtrak variant pero yung owner's manual states na meron dapat yung unit nung feature na yun. Also stated or naka-layout dun sa owner's manual na pwede naman i-lock yung tailgate using the keys itself by locking it through the handle located dun sa tailgate mismo. Ang problema yung handle nung tailgate, wala naman slot to insert the key for me to unlock/lock it. Checked online and saw pics ng ibang Rangers meron naman key slot yung tailgate nila. Lastly, wala ba talagang puddle lamps located underneath the side mirrors? It was advertised na may side puddle lamps ang XLT as well as the owner's manual states na may puddle lamps yung side mirrors, pero wala naman. Ganun din ba yung unit nyo?

Guys, would you recommend to have our units undercoated? Will it void our warranty when done outside the casa? Sbe ng casa sken 8k ata to have it undercoated. Any alternatives for this procedure? Where and how much? May specific preparations ba na kailangan prior to doing the undercoating process?

pero the owners manual naman kasi is generic, so huwag ka mag base doon, most of the sweet features are for wt only and not found on xlt. head light level and tail gate lock wala talaga sa xlt pati sa advertisement ng ford ph. ang missing talaga pero advertised na feature is the belt minder (audio alarm) and puddle lamp. afaik.

sa voice control naman, lakasan mo lang ng kunti ang pagbigkas mo ng commands tapos medjo my Australian accent, baka lang, try mo, hehehe.

ahhh. i think same tayo ng prob sa seats. my driver side and passenger has the same prob. ang ginawa ko is inipitan ko nalang ng parang foam na adhesive i think ginagamit yun sa aircon.

sa side mirror tinanggal nila ang tweeter para may access sa bolt den hinigpitan lang. pero madali lang naman. ingat lang sa clip.

Don't have the ERA card yet Sir. Not sure though kung kailan nila ibibigay yun. Tanong ko ulit dun sa SA sa first PMS namen kung kailan nila i-rerelease. Maybe we could ask other T6 owners kung kailan nila nakuha or nirelease ERA cards nila.

Thanks for responding Sir, so we have the same sentiments pala with our unit. Buti pa yung unit mo, may hood insulation when it was released. Well, it seems like somehow the units released sa PH market compared from other territories/countries kung saan ni-release din ang Ranger were stipped-off of some features or components. Even the wildtrak variant, mukhang may mga missing features/components din based from recent discussions dito sa forum. Sayang nga, sana offered dito saten ang XLT na 4x4 variant or even other colors/engine type accross all models. Nung kinuha ko yung unit namen sa Ford Global, may naka-display na XL na base model lang, hinde yung 4x4. Tapos yung color niya was the metropolitan grey finish. My wife and I wanted the cool white or black mica finish but when we saw the unit on display, we automatically fell inlove with it. Kaso sbe nung SA sa XL model lang yun available/offered. Kung hinde lang nagmamadali ang wife ko, I could have settled with that variant. Ganda kse nung pagka-grey niya, parang dark grey na gun-metal finish. Kahit na 16" lang yung stock mags, hi-rider pa din naman yung unit and malaki pa din profile nung wheels. Yung nga lang since base model siya, talagang stripped-off siya with a lot of features and components inside/out. I would definitely recommend that variant kung mostly offroad activities lang din ang gagawin nila sa Ranger nila or maybe for those people working in the construction industry like me. Oh well, may konting regrets on my end pero I can't have it all.

Well we just don't know why the people at Ford decided to have other ranger variants limited within PH shores. Could have that been caused by them outsourcing their production to Thailand(cheaper labor, parts, etc.)? Maybe it's their marketing team, quality control team, the hell I don't know.... But for me that's a bad move from the people at Ford sa Asian Region. Sooner or later baka macompromise ang name ng Ford sa Asian/Oceania Region dahil sa mga features na yan knowing that they've been one of the big names in the automotive industry for a long time now.
