Galing kase kame sa Ford BGC last Saturday and sabi nung ahente eh may DI pa din daw yung WT and ayaw pa nyan idisclose kung ilang percent. I did pay for the initial reservation of 5K pero kung may makukuha na walang DI eh dun na lang ako.

May D.I parin ba? -.- I was planning last august to buy another wildtrak but i changed my mine now. Too bad ford service is just annoying as hell. When my turbo got busted. Mag 2- months na wt ko sa casa because no stock daw nang turbo sa planta which is very annoying reason. At one point sabi pa nung sa service dahil nangungulit ako " pwede niyo pong i pullout if nagmamadali kayo " nakakaka init nang ulo. How can I pull out eh eh sira nga yung unit ko from factory defect and prolly cant run another meter nung dinala ko sa casa. I love the ranger but the service and sales just really turned me off. Btw i took the 150k for 3.2L WT D.I bait and prolly wont buy any ford products anytime soon.

    Dance instructor. 😝

Dealer's Incentive - additional fee charged to the buyer so that they can be prioritized in the queue for a hot-selling unit.

    Hi all,

I'm living in Viet Nam. I know that the Ford market in both Viet Nam and Philipines are the same. I'm going to buy a new All Ford Ranger. In South East Asia, there are 6 Ranger versions so i don't want which version is suitable for me. I want to buy a powerful car and stylish.

Available versions in Viet Nam are:

    - FORD RANGER BASE CHASIS 4X4 MT
    - FORD RANGER WILDTRAK 4x2 AT
    - FORD RANGER XLS 4X2 AT
    - FORD RANGER XLT 4X4 MT
    - RANGER BASE 4X4 MT
    - FORD RANGER 4X2 XLS MT

Can some one help me? I'm very confused!

    Thanks for your advice!

For ranger wildtrak 4x2 or if you need the 4x4 buy the ford ranger xlt 4x4.

Thanks for your suggestion. But i've bought a Ford Ranger 4x2 XLS MT instead. It's also a good car. I like it. It's suitable for my daily use.

My powertrain warning light was also checked. We tried putting a new air filter, and then ran the car up to 165 kph on SLEX to NAIA3. No warning light. On the way back we tried again, still no warning light.

Will go out of town next week so I'll try if my powetrain warning light turns on again if running at speed with the old filter.

They also fixed my squeaky gear shifter. Yung squeaky clutch ko hindi naayos even after adding grease, baka daw kailangan palitan buong assembly. They already had it filed for warranty.

I tried the Fiesta Ecoboost and the ahente wasn't overbearing.

Overall I'm really happy with the service at Makati Ford and I recommend it to anyone who needs to have their Ford serviced, or is looking for a Ford vehicle.

Sir Jut, air filter din nirecommend sa akin na palitan due to the powertrain warning I frequently encounter during high speeds.

May I know if you still encounter the powertrain warning? Ano po ginawa nyo to address the issue? Thanks in advance.

Di na siya bumalik bro, even if I didn't change my air filter yet. Will change at 30k siguro.

Monitor mo lang kung frequent bumalik. Mapapaaga lang naman palit mo ng air filter so not so bad.

It might be na hyper sensitive lang sensor ng Ranger kaya kahit konting variance lang sa air na pumapasok magwawarning na.

Yup, sana nga it only has to do with the air filter and the hyper sensitive sensor and nothing serious hehe.

    Thanks sir Jut!

For android phone users you might experience bluetooth phone connection error if updated to 4.3 and up version, the bluetooth audio connection for audio playback using the phone will continue to work but when using handsfree phone function it will not function as it used to be. Akala ko nasira head unit but same problem din with Subaru. So I tried to connect using an older version of android phone and it work well as before. Has anyone encountered same problem?

meron poll sa FB sir yebo.. out of 80 plus voters.. it turns out isa lang ang may turbo problem... yung isa naman ibang case ang problema na naging recurring (aircon ) ata yun.. so far 90 percent voted that they are satisfied with their unit.... dalawa lang ang hindi... 6 satisfied sana kaso poor ang service.. or ang daming naririnig na issues...

Thank you sir yebo. Will do that.

Just wondering why Ford still continues to sell the Rangers if there's a turbo problem. In fact the sales agent said the Ranger is their best seller together with the Ecosport. The SA honestly said that the Focus is the one having problems particularly with its transmission.

When I purchased my fort in 2005 I was supposed to get the 2.5 D4D. When I heard there were problems I switched to the 2.7 vvti. No problems whatsoever. Just the normal wear and tear. I think toyota already found a solution so up until now there are lots of D4Ds on the streets. I hope Ford will do the same. By next week I'll be getting my 2.2 Chili Orange Wildtrak. I'll keep my fingers crossed that nothing happens to the engine and will make my 260,000 km Fort as back-up if ever the Wildtrak engine's turbo fails.

Although it is alarming for a major part to break down, the ranger is still new in the market and there could be glitches still. The fortuner d4d had been established in the market because Toyota knew they had to fix the problem and they did. I think Ford should also find solutions fast. Waiting more than 2months for repair is a bummer. The reason why many pinoys still buy the ranger is because it is a good looking truck and the package is good vs the price.
