chips are an easy modification to shift more torque and power to lower rev ranges ... (don't expect to get more power and a lower fuel consumption at the same time as some vendors want to make you believe...) consider, that every time you ask for more power there will be higher wear and tear, on engine and drive train components, brakes and tires - that's the physics ...some chip vendor will give a "warranty" wrt engine and drive train damage: they can do this because they still operate the engine in the same performance range designed by manufacturer via the engine map, but closer to the max. threshold.

Additionally be also aware that more power means more heat the cooling system of the engine has to cope with. While I still believe that most of the overheating issues are caused by lack of coolant in the system a few cases might be also caused by tuning chips: owners are happy about the higher torque when pulling their vehicle up a steep hill ignoring at the same time that the additional heat needs to be exchanged via the same, unmodified cooling system...

Guys, what tires would you recommend? Brand? Size? With stock original mags. Hindi na ko mag papalit ng mags , tires na alngpo pero need your help. Wala po ako gasno alam sa tires.

Got a chance to visit my Ford Ranger sa dealer, di ko pa mailabas.. hinihintay pa pirma ni papa ko pauwi pa lang galing china ngayon. Iisa lang yung ranger dun yung amin lang. tapos may tumitingin kanina, pinapalo palo ng anak nilang baby yung ranger namin, sakit sa loob Pinatint na sa CARWORLD, dun kasi tinting room ng huper optik Monday naaaaaaaaaaaa excited

Re : Roof rail 7k, and turbo timer 2.5k done in goldcars banawe , konti lang improvement sir kung ako sayo sprint booster nalang kabit mo sir or if u want pa try ko sayo racechip ko plug n play lang naman befor u spend around 35k for DTP
PS my RCP cost only 22k :D

But made some research about racechips and tuning device, it says that it's not good for long time used and will definitely wreck our engines. That's according to some articles and reviews I've encountered and read.

But made some research about racechips and tuning device, it says that it's not good for long time used and will definitely wreck our engines. That's according to some articles and reviews I've encountered and read.

I agree that article sir it will harm our engine dats y i use the minimum settings of rcp but i think dtp and rcp is same plug into fuel rail, mas maganda sana yung ibang chip na pina plug sa fuel rail or throttle controller and ECU like V-TECH if im not mistaken

I agree that article sir it will harm our engine dats y i use the minimum settings of rcp but i think dtp and rcp is same plug into fuel rail, mas maganda sana yung ibang chip na pina plug sa fuel rail or throttle controller and ECU like V-TECH if im not mistaken

As long as its in the minimum settings, it wont do any harm. Probably lessen engine life due to more wear and tear but not noticeable to even ponder on...

Question mga sirs, mayroon bang hill assist launch yong XLT manual sa ranger. Sabi kasi nang SA sa wildtrak lang daw. Just want to confirm from those who know. Planning to get one kasi this coming april. (XLT manual) tia.

Madali kase sya itago like nung ng 1k and 10k pms di nila nakita chip ko to viod my engine waranty, not d whole rpm you feel it from 1800 to 2600 rpm malakas sya and dis range is only our needs lang naman, from 0-180kmts 80seconds :D

but you can set it to work at lower rpm? tama ba? gusto ko sana is as low as 1000 to 2000rpm for stop go and crawl uphill.

well, the ranger with chip even with minimum setting should perform better than no chip.

ito as per my experience only... pag petron parang matamlay compared sa kung caltex gamit ko,kung shell naman, wala difference sa caltex pero mas mahal... kaya caltex ginagamit ko, pinaka malapit din kasi sa route ko yung caltex station.

thanks mga sirs. have to wait for the Wildtrak nito. the price difference is still ok vs the XLT. you get 4x4 and the hill start assist which i find very practical and a good precaution to some accidents. Kailan kaya dating ito Wildtrak?
