I think of all the hundreds of millions or even billions of people who have it worse off than me (example Tacloban folks, Syrian refugees, Central african victims of never ending civil wars, iraqi or pakistani civilians terrorized by extremists, etc) and realize that man-oh-man, im lucky as it is. Makes me appreciate what i have more.
If im facing personal difficulty, then i think of the challenge ahead of me as not a stumbling block, but as a stepping stone instead. I got that from some wise saying posted somewhere. Helps me a lot.
