NO! Marriage is not purely for procreation. It's a sacrament bound by 3 entities with God as the third party. The issues are too complex but I have to believe that the Church's stand are based on the foundation of the Church and its doctrines.
IMHO, getting rid of homo***uals like God's production rejects (not exactly a man or a woman) is not the way to view this the same way that being a sinner is bad so we get rid of all sinners. It's something that must be understood and repaired (as in reparations for our sins?).
Why the heck do they want to make this so complicated anyway. Just setup a contract if all they want is an enforcable legal arrangement. Don't mess up with the spiritual angle.
If people believe that gay couple should not be married, that's perfectly fine.
This our belief. Either way, not allowing it would not even make them stop living together.
But we should know where to draw a line.
I think this is better ayusin muna yung may mga problema kesa yung masasayang tao... saka nila ikasal yang same *** na yan..Originally Posted by ghosthunter

imho- marriage is union of man and women, it doesnt state similar ***es could get married, however same *** living together harmoniously is fine
sus!!
divorce nga ayaw eh.
even contraceptives tinututulan pa ng mga conservative groups headed by lito atienza.
IMO this is one big setback for us being a catholic nation.
i think the responses on this thread alone support my earlier comment that the philippines isn't ready for this. not because its citizens are wrong or ignorant (i think the comments posted by my fellow tsikoteers are far from that), but because you guys have such a strong set of ethical/moral values that go against it.
some of you made a very good point about the distinction between a religious marriage and a legal one. gay people can enjoy the rights and privileges of marriage through a legal union without igniting the firestorm of getting religious approval (which imo is impossible anyway).
OT - been good, bro. hope all's well with you also.Originally Posted by GasJunkie
Dont call it marriage cause that's what everyone is having problems with. I think homos are just looking for a legal framework for their relationship.
call it bbutt buddies.
The more homos in the world means more chicks for me.![]()

God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve... ehehehe!
Never mess with the divine Master plan.
It is written... For man, not to lie with man as one lies with a woman. It is detestable.
but wouldn't it suck if Adriana Lima and Jessica Alba went gay and married each other...?Originally Posted by OTO

ok lang sakin gay marriage. kung si charlise theron lesbian kunyari badinger z nalang ako.
that would suck...pero i'd want to be the cabana boy sa honeymoon nila, just in case they'd want to experiment.Originally Posted by M54 Powered

From a legal point of view, it might be worthwhile to recognize the partnership, for succession, inheritance, conjugal property, etc. So yes, in that respect.
But from a Catholic point of view, no. So I guess they won't be married in a Catholic church.
