b179 kinabit dun bro. pero kasya naman 1402. check ko uli bukas engine bay ng EK

p295 na pala ang b179. p215 pa din ang bt223. went to volmax this morning

already used the 2 for the idsi city and civic EK. pwede pareho mas mahaba lang yung b1402 at mas mahal. 390 ata ito.

mas mura yung b179 less than 300 lang yata kaya mas ginagamit ko ito lately for the EK.

sa city ko ginamit. ok naman. medyo mahaba nga lang kaya medyo mas mahirap ilagay. ok na ako sa b179 anyway pareho naman sila ng filter media, mas madali pa ilagay. cross lang ng VIC 307 that i use dati.

Heres the reply i got from the Project MU Guys. Its pretty stupid though.

Bottom line is they dont publish the efficiency rating of their oil filters. How then can we determine how well their product is? :roll:
Oh well... If they want to keep it a secret, then be it.

This filter is composed of filter paper and a magnet.
Fine filter paper removes the impurities. And Magnet removes the metal powder in the engine.

This filter 10,000 km or every 6 month change the filter.

* The performance of the filter paper is similar to genuine products.

Like oils, if they don't have published MSDS/PDS then why trust them? Unless you can get UOA from BITOG or similar sites then it is a hit or miss thing.

But of course, one can always try it for 5,000kms or 6 mos.

yup yup yup. 1K price nung "magnetic oil filter" na yun. tawa talaga ako e. e pwede mo nga i-DIY yung magnetic na yan e. hanap ka lang ng busted hdd (Which is worth like 50 bucks or even zero) tas kunin mo yung magnet.

in addition to this, you dont need to put any clamp or tape to stick that magnet, there is no way its getting off that filter, tried it. and its been there at that same position from start to finish of a baldwin filter ( 10000kms )

I also use old hard drive magnets, they are not going to move no matter what you do driving. Those other filters are a bit of a waist of money. especially if they only filter as good as OEM.

My oil after 3 plus weeks after my 5 micron bypass set up installed, including around trip to Manila, Many to San Fernando and Subic.

Hi guys. I'm all set to buy a Baldwin oil filter for our Vios (BT223) given the time to go to Volmax (will be using Caltex Delo Gold Ultra 15w40). Ngayon, nakwento ko kasi sa dad ko na magandang filter nga ang Baldwin since US made and better than OEM filter. Sabi ko sa Volmax ko sya kukuhanin for P215 (cmiiw) which is cheaper than Toyota filter (P315). Sabi nya baka raw copy yun since nasa Chinatown/Binondo yung shop. Sabi ko naman na nabasa ko dito na Volmax ang official distributor ng ORIG Baldwin filters sa pinas. Plus may pic pa ng orig (Baldwin Filters logo and BT223 logo).

Ayun, I just need some more confidence hehe. Ang mura raw kasi at P215 tapos US-made. Gusto ko naman sya kasi recommended dito at ng ibang Vios owners. TIA guys!
