    * tomboy, there are a multitude of filters that will work on the same vehicle that are outiside what is cross referenced you just need to know the specs of the filter and how much space you have.

    just got reply from motul

    Motul HTech 100 10w40
    1) TBN = 7.6
    2) Zinc (Z)n = 0.08
    3) Phosphorus (P) = 0.07

    parang ang baba.

    Puwede na sa gas engine although for extended drain interval, maximum na siguro 10K IMO kasi mababa TBN pero synthetic naman eh. Mas matibay pa din sa breakdown.

    Tsk tsk... this is the oil i have in stock for my next change oil. I'll couple it with the BT223 for 10,000kms maybe. After that i'll go for ZIC.

    same here. not impressive spec at all for the motul htech. even if its synthetic, mobil 1 TDT can do better than this for 50 peso less per liter. there are also so many other less expensive oil that can easily outperform this.

    i was thinkering with my dad's toyota old school truck and guess what... damn truck is using VIC filter (oil and fuel).

    after cross referencing the vic filters

    Oil Filter - VIC C101 ->> Baldwin B2 (5 1/8 in), B178 (5 1/8 in),
    Fuel Filter - VIC FC208A ->> Baldwin BF954(3 incher ), BF941 (5 incher)

    The truck is due for change oil soon. All I have it BT223 oil filter, anyone up for a swap for a B2 or a B178? hehehe!
    anyway, if none then i'll just have the truck use the BT223. Am sure it will be better than darn VIC.

    will also add 2T oil to diesel on next fill up at the pump.

    Hey Doc,

    you got any big boys filter for my dads diesel truck? im sure it can go longer as its positioned like the one in the altis, ground clearance for the truck is much greater than the altis so am sure we can go alot longer for this one.

    thanks alot.

    awesome! spare me at least 4 of those bro. i'll ask my dad to wait till i get those from you on his oil change.

    he got excited when i told him about the T2 lessening the noise and rattle on his truck. its ridiculously noisy and we just hate the damn thing. 200:1 as advised is our plan of dillution.

    ^ ano OEM part number mo. JS Filters :: Application Cross Reference and Image for JS : Oil (Spin-on) : C109J yan ata yung counterpart eh.

    Check mo yung data sa current oil filter mo. If vic c109, yan na nga data.

    Found this over the net. Iba talaga yung quality ng US made products na oil filter.

    Starex D4CB crdi has the same filter thread size as that of Mitsu 4D56, 4m40 and 4M41 which is M26 X 1.5. So Baldwin BD28 (combo filter) is compatible. The Hyundai OEM filter is only full flow so BD28 (full flow + bypass) is one step better in oil filtration.

    Since BD28 is hard to find, I use Bosch OM 084 and change it every 5K km since the efficiency rating is not available (just to be safe). However, I change my oil (Caltex Delo Gold Ultra 15W-40) every 10K km.

    CMIIW, but both Starex crdi (non-vgt) and crdi vgt share the same D4CB engine configuration so they have the same thread filter size. They only differ in the turbo design.

    Hope this helps.
