gusto ko sana gawing project yan sa 4m40 ko. kaso hindi kasi common yung filter thread size ng 4m40 kaya walang off the shelf na kit.

Dapat palitan na lang yung thread title.. "Oil/fuel filter" hindi uso dito remote bypass.. Hard to find mga ganyan filters

tried maghanap ng resources for the bypass filtration both for the engine and AT transmission... sumakit lang ulo ko kakatawag at hanap... walang mga adaptor, head, at filter para sa application.... medyo madame ka ipapa-fabricate...

unlike sa abroad na meh direct at exact kit para sa application..

sir bayen wala bang BD28 ngayon sa volmax? pm mu naman number mu sakin, meh itetext ako sayo...hehe

Hi Doc. It's been a long time since I posted in this thread. Noticed that there are more people now who are benefitting from better filters. Anyway wanted to ask if there's a Baldwin equivalent for the OEM Toyota filter for the LC 200 engine - 1VD-FTV? I'm still using the OEM filter.

And to Bayen and Miko - do you have stocks of BD 28? I'm on my last piece na. Thanks.

^Cartridge type na rin. Malamang wala nyan dito. Upside is it's fairly easy to carry in from abroad if you have relatives flying in.

Yep, OEM is fine with your usual 5K interval; Motul CRDi synth pa yung gamit so that's even better than the TGMO.

Will upsizing to a longer and a bit wider (rubber gasket same diameter) oil filter affect the oil pressure negatively ?

I have gone from Toyota OEM 90915-YZZD2 to LF3487 (present) and soon LF3947.

Its for the VVT-i. There is a ton of space down there. Fleetguard is still to go for me in this my case.

Parts masters are about as good as wix so 10000klm is no problem. for the td27 I would use the B7022 you can find it. its also the same filter for the Td42 engine. These engines to include the QD series have internal bypass valves so u can't us a B2.

I would also find a better oil that oils tbn is crap. You want at least a 10 for the tbn. I would for a good diesel oil that has under 1200ppm phosphorus so u can use it in gas engine. you will get way more engine protection.

Sir can you please enlighten us why we cant use B2 for QD32,TD27 and TD42 engines as you stated above?since B2 is the equivalent also of LF551A.TIA

Because nissans have the oil bypass in the engine, You have to use a filter without a internal bypass valve on those nissan engines. So there is no way of knowing what the stock bypass setting which i have tried to find out, it should not make a difference because either one will send it into bypass mode, there would be no oil starvation issues but I prefer to use the correct filter set up.
