The newer version of the FF5160 as even larger holes than the one I posted if you check it on the Cummins site. So that is a concern.

So Doc, if those bought from W&L and Pacer are Legit LF3564, are they good to use? even though they have 6 holes and the construction is that way? Tried to tear apart the filter media with my hands, it was quiet sturdy...

Yes they are but the construction of the filter is clearly different. I will see if I hear back from them about the flow numbers on those fitlers

Thanks Doc, really have to decide if I'm gonna use it or settle with VIC. Volmax is still out of stock with baldwin filters.

They are still way better than VIC, the OEM filter has only 4 holes for the fuel and 6 for the oil filter. And I believe that's all VIC has as well. So they could just be making them to meet those specs and not to exceed them.

bg, I'm still using the one I bought sa W&L sa FM ko. You will notice external quality of it when compared sa VIC even when it was initially said na knock off yun nabili natin. Now extend pa ang gamit ko sa kanya since it was confirmed na orig.

From the cummins/fleetguard website, LF3564 has a thread pattern of 'M26 X 1.5-6H INT'. Does the 6H indicate the number of holes?

Hi dvldoc. Just want to clarify that the oil filter being offered to me in replacement (the ones with open and close parenthesis)of certain filters at Volmax is ok to use? I guess there is still OOS of BD28 and BD7028.

Checked the BD7028 and the suggested replacements and this came up in my research. My concer is the PSI difference and slightw weight difference.
    baldwin b7045, lube spin-on
    baldwin bd7028, dual-flow lube spin-on

    B7004(BD7141)
    B1422(B7033)
    BD7159(BD7169)
    B337
    B7045(BD7028)
    BD7095(BD28)

B7004(BD7141) Ones a dual flow one is not. Dual flow will have higher rating but the non dual flow will still be 12 microns *50% which is way higher than a VIC.

B1422(B7033) Go with the biggest that will fit. The B7033 is 103cm long vs 88cm.

BD7159(BD7169) Bypass valve diffeerence is to great it's 21psi difference you need don't want more than 6 or 7psi difference.

B7045(BD7028) You could use either of these filters to replace the BD28. The BD7028 has a slightly lower micron rating but still is a quality filter.

BD7095(BD28) The BD7095 does not have a bypass valve so looks like you can't use it. It's for a vehicle that has a internal bypass switch. Not that you could clog it on with even 15000klm oil changes but I would be cautious.

Weight difference is not a big deal

So the BD7028 B7045 will also work on the 4M40, I would keep the B7045 at 10000klm oil changes since it's not a bypass filter.

*dvldoc....was just curious on how do you knew the microns rating for Baldwin Filters?...Based on the website there was no specific data on it. Mind if you could check the B1402 filters. Also another is for the Wix filter...what is this Beta Ratio 2/20=2/20; 2/20=6/20 means? All the rest specifications listed there, I could understand but that beta ratio..is am totally clueless..would use these for my Honda engines. Thanks.

You got to call bro, it's the quickest a easiest way.

B1402 is 35 Absolute and 23 nominal. So 50% efficient at 23 microns.

Most companies do there beta rating on double pass while WIX does theirs on single pass.

But this is how theirs works. Beta rating 2/20=6/20

    50% * 6 micron
    95% * 20 micron

They have 21 microns on the site so maybe they round it up or something.

    Thanks a lot.

I will ask for the BD7141 since I want dual-flow for optimum protection when they have stocks and the BD28 for the 4d56 L300.

Will go for B1422, B337 (of course), and BD7045. Just have to wait for the stocks of BD28 and BD7141 so that its a one time delivery.

I think our TSCP member mikko018 is a dealer of ZIC oils. Mas mura pa ata dyan sa manila, especially by the gallon.

You can check out the Donaldson toolbox website Donaldson Toolbox, put in the baldwin number and get the micron rating for the Donaldson equivalent. Useful for a quick check.

Bro CB mababa nga quote sa akin, mukhang mas mura kesa sa retail.

I will definitely ask for a discount once they complete my wish list since i will buy for 1 year stocks.

Ex. BD7045 which is ok for 4d56 and 4m40-41 is just P600 for me.

Mas mura ito sa BD28 ata CB, try mo itawag. Same size sa bd7028 yang BD7045 but a bit higher filtration pa as per dvldoc so better. Kaso worried ako sa L300 baka hindi pasok yang haba niya, well check later at baka puwede na din yan pamalit sa bd28.
