i'll answer this one.

Mobil Delvax MX 15w40 is safe for gas engines. It is also safe for the catalytic converter. it contains spot on 1200 PPM of Zinc which is "cat con" safe level.

i i were to extend to 15,000 KM oil change interval i would fo for the Top 1
but if i were to go 12,000 KM only i would go for the delo 400.

either way both are good oils. budget will be the definitive factor in choosing between these two oils. Top 1 SDO 10w40 is more expensive than Delo 400 Gold last time i did a motor oil price check.

Or ZIC UP? Which would you guys recommend? I'm currently on DGU + Baldwin combo. Around 3k na tinatakbo.

Before, fully Synth every 10k ang change using oem oil filter. Simula nagbasa ako dito, Baldwin na ginagamit hehe.

i have a water temp gauge and boost gauge and this is what i have observed so far....

Delo gold ultra --temp is near the warning zone during hard acceleration on a hot day. ( engine temp is more higher)

Shell rimula-- temp is at the middle of the normal zone during hard acceleration on a hot day. ( engine temp is lower)

Delo gold ultra - easier to accelerate and requires less effort to reach revs( more power)

shell rimula- harder to accelerate and requires effort to reach revs (less power)

ZDDP is activated when hot. maybe that's why easier to accelerate on delo. mayroong cushion ang moving parts. parang primer coating ang zdp then topcoat yung base oil.

Ah okay. I was considering din R3X before but mdyo mas angat ung DGU and Mobil Delvac MX and considering na halos same price lang. But ung pail price mo, it is definitely very cheap.

yep if you base the price sa mga gas stations halos parehas sila, pero pag sa distributor ang mura lang ng R3X... kaya kumuha ako.

laki kasi patong ng mga shell stations grabe... for 2,700 pesos per liter, that's just 2 gallons ng DGu or delvac... compared to 4 gallons of rimula. hehe
