laki kasi patong ng mga shell stations grabe... for 2,700 pesos per liter, that's just 2 gallons ng DGu or delvac... compared to 4 gallons of rimula. hehe

laki nga ng patong sa gas stations. mas malaki pa ata kikitain nila dyan sa motor oils kesa fuel. lol.

    Petronas lubricants
A new player has entered the country's automotive lubricant market: Petronas. That's right, the same Petronas that's the title sponsor of the Mercedes AMG Formula 1 team. Locally distributed by Petronas Energy Philippines, the Petronas brand of lubricants was sold first in the Visayas and Mindanao regions about a year ago before the company decided to bring its line of products to Metro Manila last June. So, if you want to try a different brand of lubricant for your car that's used by a big-name car manufacturer involved in Formula 1, it might be worth checking out. After all, Nico Rosberg's three retirements this season were due to collisions and not engine failure.

Ano ang API rating ng Petronas? Is it mineral or synthetic oils?

Magaganda reviews at performance ng Petronas sa motorbikes in MCP. Lurker kasi ako dun, at best of all, mura pricing nila. Sana nga hindi magbago. Never had experience with their diesel of gasoline oils though.

Saw Wurth brand (german) engine oil earlier sa MAS. May promo sila buy 1 take 1. Pwede na ung synthetic oil price pero mahal ang mineral oil. Hangan bukas na lang. Look for Rhoel if interested.

I don't know if you share the same observation as mine, after using the combo of mobil delvac mx + baldwin oil filter for quite sometime, I noticed that the FC suffers. From average of 7.0-7.5km/li (traffic city driving) to just 6km/li.

Maybe there's an issue with the filter? There are some fake baldwins out there. Or maybe the mechanic tinkered with your engine after changing your oil?

I would like to share my observations on 3 motor oils. All data were collected with a least 7 full tanks of fuel. I drive the same route everyday and have pretty similar traffic conditions. The way I compute my FC is by recording the amount of fuel that was required to fill my tank, then divide it over the distance I covered.

Mitsubishi Turbo XP "Fully Synthetic" (Group III)
    -535km/full tank or 8.9km/L

    Mitsubishi Mineral Oil (Group II)
    -500km/full tank or 8.3km/L

    Royal Purple HPS (Group IV)
    -600km/full tank or 10km/L

Haven't computed yet the correction factor since i'm using slightly bigger tires than stock. Im using GLS wheels and tires on a GLX model Strada.

Ah no. I bought it from Manny of Volmax. It should be genuine. Walang ginalaw sa engine, I was with the technician the whole time.....

Here is the FC with correction factor included. By the way, I'm also using K&N drop-in filter and I always gas up at Sea Oil.

Mitsubishi Turbo XP "Fully Synthetic" (Group III)
    -546km/full tank or 9.1km/L

    Mitsubishi Mineral Oil (Group II)
    -511km/full tank or 8.5km/L

    Royal Purple HPS (Group IV)
    -612km/full tank or 10.2km/L

Its amazing that per full tank, I save about 290php compared with the Mitsubishi Turbo XP and 500php compared with the Mitsubishi Mineral Oil.

One thing I like about Mitsubishi is that, they do not charge corkage when I bring my own oil during PMS. Not like Honda where they charge 20% of the value of the oil.

I can also conclude bro that a 6 month old Mitsubishi Turbo XP is more fuel efficient than a brand new Mitsubishi mineral oil.

Hope this helps everyone in choosing the right oil for their vehicle.
