This is what I've been using in my 4m40 for the last two oil changes. I like it but I will try Top 1 for my next oil change for this engine and see (more like hear and feel) if there's any difference.

si testa previous RP user, naging Top1 user na sa 4m40 niya and he's very happy with it. im sure you'll be happy also.

Mga oil guru kuha lang ako inputs.

My ride is 7yrs old na gas engine 142,000km na mileage. Planning to buy oil para labor na lang bayad ko sa shop.


Ano ba magandang oil? Yung good for 10k km? And where to buy?

if budget is not an issue, RP is a good oil. but 5w30 might be too thin.

yes. Synthetic Diesel Oil yung SDO. pwede siya sa gas since its originally rated API C and S. I also email Top1 regarding this since I checked their US webiste, same part number pero iba brand name sa atin, and they confirmed na same oil siya and pwede sa gas engine. just like Delo. almost 3 weeks ko na gamit sa innova and ang tahimik talaga ng engine, that even the mechanic who changed the oil noticed how quiet it was.

Which one is better? From their website same na synthetic sila eh.

In your opinion which one is a better option.

Option 1: Use Shell R4x + vic oil filter
R4x is * 205/ltr or 800/gallon

Option 2: Top1 SDO/HD/HD+ + vic oil filter

Vic oil filter kasi walang Baldwin for the C-524.

Any inputs/better suggestion?

Preferably 15w-40, yun na yung all time nakalagay sa dmax namin.

OCI is at 5-6k kms, should I opt for the SDO its at 10k kms.

Kung vic oil filter mo huwag ka na mag-top 1. R4X na lang. Buti kung baldwin, fleetguard,wix, purolator or donaldson

I'll try to find the aforementioned filters, i'll add the Bosch too.

Also whats the diff bet the Top1 SDO and HD/HD+?

Ganun na nga. sayang oil kung hindi maganda filter. Papalitan mo pa rin kasi kahit kaya pa sana nang oil but madami na contaminants.

Top1 SDO 15w-40 is mineral oil while the Top1 HD Common Rail Diesel 10w-30 is semi-synthetic. The Top1 Evolution Diesel 5w-40 is the fully-synthetic type. I am using on my monty the HD paired with the Baldwin BD28.

For the Bosch oil filters, certain kind of filter are manufactured in a certain country. ie. OM 036 is made in Korea. OF 506 made in Indonesia. This has been my experience.

To add up how do they sell SDO? By liters ba yan? Ilan liters bibilhin ko?

Regarding my optitron on my way home kagabi its blinking again. Hows yours? Wtf talaga! I hope its nothing serious.

BT223 is just right for D-4D due clearance issues with taller filters. Although I have yet to test fit something like B2 or LF3487 on our Innova D-4D.

As for vvt-i, you can easily use tall filters bec. there is lots of room down there.
