    Thanks testament11! Appreciate it.
Here's an interesting read(with a downloadable pdf of the test results):

Another thing i found is a service manual for the 4m41 where is states a rail pressure range of 3,625.9425psi (25mpa) to 26,106.786psi (180mpa).
While it still falls under the 29,000psi pressure of the newer crdi's, it's still pretty high, atleast on the top end. I'm not sure as to whether or not it would be best to lower the amount of 2t per 1L of diesel.

Afaik, it safe to use it in a 4m41 engine. My brother has been using 2t since this thread began and only positive effects has been observed. The car is a 2009 montero. Same engine with pajero bk, only different tranny.

I agree. It's the amount of 2t per liter of diesel that im wondering about. What ratio is your brother using?

200:1 or 5ml per liter of diesel.

    Thanks rac98.
what's the most commonly used 2t here? i bought both petron - blue bottle and shell -yellow bottle. looked at their respective sites (shell philippines for shell) and apparently, shell has a synthetic base fluid for its mineral 2t. Pero sa bottle naman, walang naka lagay, mineral lang. I know people are using it here. Not sure pero may potential adverse effects ba kaya 'to in the long run from having a synthetic base? Sa petron naman, im confident the blue is good to go. Pero from their site, 4 pala 2t nila. The green one is fc pero semi synth so i'll stay away from that. Anyone ever try the grey one? Parang concentrated kase you only use half the regular amount tapos fb+ daw. No mention of a synthetic base or being semi synth so i assume pwede rin 'to.
Sorry for all the questions. I'm eager to try this (today kung pwede) pero ang haba na ng thread. Sobrang layo ko pa....

Ah! Hahaha! Ok. Ya, gusto ko rin sana shell. Ilang months ka na gumagamit? Same positive results?

"Napag isip lang ako sa "synthetic base fluid". What about yung tailpipe carbon build up? Nasa page 35 pa ako. Dko alam kung mawawala ba yun after extended use."
Nevermind the above concerns... All answered by dvldoc on page 35.

He uses shell, rated fb. I also use the same for my old school rig. For my gas fed car I use ptt 2t which is fc rated. Ptt is also good kaso mas mahal to use when the ratio is 200:1.

Btw, caltex is also good. Mabango ang exhaust hehehe.

Thanks! im interested to try caltex din kase low ash daw. Cguro kung wala talaga akong mahanap na fc for our gas cars, i'll give that a go.
Linagyan ko na kagabi ng 400ml of shell 2t ang pajero. My tank was still indicating full sa guage when I poured it in. from the there,i drove about 20mins and refilled P100 worth of diesel just to give the tank a quick slush. My guesstimate is i had about 85L in the tank after the fill up. Not quite the recommended 200:1 ratio but close i suppose... i only drove 20 something kms since pouring it in with minimal to moderate traffic, and, left it running for about 15mins outside my gf's house last night so wala pa akong na feel. I'll give shell a chance and use it again on my next fill up then i'll try caltex. Try ko yung petron blue sa isang diesel namin.
Question, i know it's best to pour it in during fill up for optimal dilution but pwede ba rin sa full na na tank? Cguro drive it around to somewhat shake the tank or let it sit overnight for it to mix on its own?

Me, I sometimes pour the 2t after filling. That's when I forget to bring along 2t. Ill just put it when I reach home from the gas station. The 2t will easily mix with the diesel. A little shake as when you drive around will do.

Thanks again. Im now at the 100km mark. Not sure if i feel anything. Parang smoother ang acceleration nya. It appears to not roar as loud usual when taking off but that's about it. No difference in idling so far.

Does the new pajero have a DPF or none? If it does, make sure to use jaso FC sir. Otherwise jaso FB is ok.

I have no idea... The 2011-current NW model no longer has one. Big question is, is this the same one theyre selling here?. Looks the same but i have no way to verify if it is infact the same, esp where it counts... Under the hood. Anyone have any insight here?

Question: we have an 07 fortuner and an 01 trooper. Im worried about the 2t loosening dirt, thereby, clogging the filter or God forbid, reach the injector. What's the best way to go about this? Constant fuel filter checks? Anong intervals?

^^ before adding 2t, it is recommended that you change fuel filter. Then change the filter after 5000 kilometers or earlier for peace of mind. IMO, this is especially so in older vehicles because of dirt accumulating in the fuel line and the tank.

Thanks bud! Do you recommend purging sometime after the filter changes? I read the whole thread and some guys a few pages back were discussing it. Atleast one of them, i think, recommended it.
I have to verify this but i think the trooper had its system purged when i took it in for service about 6 months ago. The fortuner, however, has not had anything more than a fuel filter change.

I will change my fuel filter after a few thousand kilometres to see how much sludge is in it.

Yup. I made sure the conditions were the same. I also went through 2 tank fulls of fuel first to make sure that the engine is really using the 2T oil already.

Diesel owners that add 2T oil to fuel
