Fuel consumption ko before consistent 6.9 to 7.2km/L, at average 18km/h. Ngayon di bumababa nasa 7.5 to 7.7km/L, same average 18km/h. It is worth noting that I also replaced the 1 year old air filter though.

But I always open the engine bay after a long hard drive since there a few ecoboost owners who seem to have coolant loss due to the engine block cracking supposedly because of heatsoak. It’s usually uncomfortably hot but now the heat emanating from it is quite tolerable. But as you said, baka placebo effect lang nga since I really can’t provide any numbers when it comes to engine temperature. But the fuel consumption is a real noticeable improvement though.

Yun nga rin naisip ko but it’s there. I didn’t touch the cooling system. Yun lang ginawa ko. The engine bay feels less hot when opened. Placebo effect or maybe timing lang? Possible. But that’s just something I personally felt and noticed. I really was expecting it na sumingaw ng sobrang init tulad ng dati since as far as I know, wala naman kinalaman ang oil sa pag cool ng engines.

Actually nakakatulong ang good engine oil sa lesser heat generation pero hindi solely nakasalalay doon, a good engine oil makes engine parts cause less friction with each other, when there is less friction then less heat generation then also you got to consider if the lesser friction then the engine would operate more smoothly with exerting too much gas/diesel being injected sa kada cylinder, overall the vehicle will operate a lot more smoothly.

Aisin is related to Toyota pero the aftermarket products are not the same with Toyota anymore, they decided to outsourced almost everything for the aftermarket. First of all Aisin doesn't even produce lubricants and filters, the "Aisin aftermarket" is a different division na as they are solely doing aftermarket products by trying to outsourced their products from different China factories then packing it under the Aisin brand name. The clutch disc and pressure plate are the only products for the aftermarket that are being produced by Aisin's own factories, the rest of the aftermarket products are outsourced even the brake pads.

Baldwin, wix or Purolator if may mahanap ka. Amsoil and Mobil filters baka meron din.

Bosch then Vic next level down.

Sakura at JS naman if wala pa din talaga.

For oil go with the recommended viscosity and API rating. Synthetic if matagalan palit like me na 1yr or if 6months or less or 5K whichever is earlier eh pwede na mineral oil para cheaper.

B1402 fits most Honda, Kia (Rio gas, etc), Hyundai (Accent gas, etc), Nissan (Almera, etc), Mitsubishi, Subaru, and Toyota 86. You can also explore wider/longer filters like B1431, B7243, B179, B161-S.

Nice. Green batt and red filter [emoji16]

Same size as stock or slightly bigger? Yung BT223 kasi mas malaki compared to stock Toyota.

It’s about the same size as the Subaru AA160 oil filter. The AA160 filter is preferred for the FA20 engine (XT, WRX, Levorg, BRZ, 86) while the shorter AA130 is the one mostly used on the FB20 (Impreza, XV, Forester 2.0L NA).

There are newer filters for Subaru that are blue in color. There is even a red one (STI) and a pink one (HKS).

Bale hindi sya corrugated sa upper part so makinis sya all out. Pero code hindi ko pa din maalala.

yan mga binanggit nyo eh lahat may grooves

Flutes tawag diyan, Kags. Halimbawa ung B1400, B1402, B1431, B33, B37, etc have 14 flutes - can be removed using a 14-flute filter wrench end cap. While, B1405, BT223, B179, B7243, B161-S, B243, etc have 15 flutes - use 15-flute end cap.

*Ry_Tower - thanks sir. might go with baldwin 1402 if makahanap ako sa labas. nasa 400 kasi ung sa lazada. magkano ba usually price nun?
regarding oil, currently using motul htech 10w40. plano ko un pa din gamitin ko. else, will try zic x7 10w40 or repsol etc, basta 10w40 sana. also, ok lang kaya bilin ko lahat ng gamit then labor na lang sa labas? sorry medyo ot.

*kagalingan - thanks sir. parang familiar yan. i think siya ung nag start magdala ng baldwin and fleetguard dito, mura pa nung time na un sayang di ko pa sinubukan nun. if tama ung nakita ko, zic baldwin name niya sa fb.

*Mask Rider Blac - thank you sir. i think pwede na ung 1402, medyo mahaba na ung 1431 based sa pics.

At malapad pala yun. Maluwag pwesto ng civic 6th gen walang tatamaan.

kung address nung baldwin zic sa facebook eh araneta avenue eh yung pinsan or kapatid nya yan.

*kagalingan - nakausap ko na siya. he suggested the baldwin b161s then paired with zic x7 10w40 (for gas engine).
