Doesn't mean na marami ang pleats ng paper media ng VIC na mas marami ng ma fifilter na contaminants sa oil since depende din yun sa quality ng filter media itself, kung maraming filter media pero manipis sobra pero bulok naman yung filtering qualities niya eh d good for show lang na marami filter media compared sa iba tapos nakaka restrict pa siya ng oil flow papunta sa engine dahil crowded na yung space sa can filter.

I know VIC Filter was poorly rated here on this thread, but lately I've seen an impressive VIC Filters Genuine Made in Japan....any first hand experience on this seems sturdy/quality filters? They are the DC-03 or 06 etc...Dual core element 5 and 10 microns elements.

Na post ko dito before yung Dual Core ng Vic. Hanapin ko ulit pics ko. I do not know if Vic is really inferior compared to other aftermarket filters. Isang site lang kasi nakita ko nag sabi. I have a cut open Asian made Bosch. Parang mas ok parin construction ng Vic

Bosch has outsourced its filters from a company I forgot the name, I'll try to look for it again and yes the built quality is not so good.

There are alternatives to VIC filters, one example is Nippon Micro brand which is a "Made in Japan" OE supplier to FUSO and TOYOTA Japan domestic market but not all models. But the price is a bit higher than VIC because it doesn't skimp on quality, you can ask those who operates medium to heavy trucks and you can ask automotive retail shops that cater to truck customers they will say that Nippon Micro filter is one of the best in terms of filter media quality.

Hindi ko nakikita yang DC Vic at Nippon Micro. hehe sayang, mukhang maganda nga. Made in Korea at Indonesia mga Bosch filters na nakikita ko. Construction may not look good imho, but filtration is better than the usual black Vic in a dardk green packaging.

kaya sayang yang DC nila nang masubukan. Meron ka ba CB pang-4m40? hehe

Sa 4D56 and 4M40, stock requirement ng Mitsu is double core or bypass filtration na for other manufacturers, single filtration media lang requirement. So using the double core, parang nag upgrade ka ng filter

VIC copied the design possibly from either PIAA's twin power oil filter and etc... and just made a cheaper version of it with the same filter media they used in single core filters.

Actually its not only this thread, its featured in Finland's car magazine Tuulilasi they independently tested various filters before. As you can see in the link attached. Oil filter test results!

How about the quality of the "PAPER MEDIA" that filters contaminants during VIC's turn in testing?
