Maybe there is something wrong with your vehicle's alternator or charging system ... did you ever remove/disconnect the battery while the engine was running? ...

Reminder ... NEVER remove / disconnect battery from vehicle while the engine is running ... the car battery acts as a large capacitor to regulate the voltage ...

So this guy last time, removed the terminal to check the condition of the alternator. According to that guy, if the engine dies then the alternator is busted.

If I may go off topic, what's the best way to check the alternator?

That test worked back when cars didn’t have too many electronics. If you pull out the terminal with the engine running, you’re letting your electronics to receive max volts which can end up frying them if they can’t handle it.

Best test is to use a voltmeter. Voltage should read between 13.8 to 15.3 with the engine running and nothing else turned on.

    Panasonic naman.
I'm also using CTEK battery charger, but not for Amaron. I'm using it for the factory issued battery. Perhaps I'll update this CTEK two years from now.

How many months did the original and replacement batteries each last?

The original Amaron was purchased 3/14/2014, then I claimed warranty August of 2015 (16 months). Replacement was given 9/4/2015, then busted today 5/8/2018 (32 months).

While sulit naman for the total length, it just doesn't live up to the initial hype of longer lifespan (they said nuon last battery for the life of the vehicle).

My stock battery on the Revo lasted 44 months, and we know low end lang mga stock batteries. With Amaron and the hype, I really expected 4 years. Alaga ko pa with distilled water after warranty, and regular charging.

Mag tiyaga uli ako sa hindi mf, kasi ok lang naman mag regular maintenance. Half the price pa. Surely, 2 non-mf units will outlast 1 mf unit (no pun intended - Outlast brand has gone to the dogs).

actually, i am not really sold on the amaron's superiority.
just perusing these pages.. may good, may bad.

the reason i buy MF, is to avoid the white, corrosive salt that sometimes develops above "regular" batteries.

Yup, non-mf lasts longer than mf batteries. Manual topup na lang ng distilled water. Mas mura pa.

Under motolite ba ang outlast? Or a totally different company?

Besides motolite and panasonic, maganda rin ba ac delco or GS batteries??

plano ko bro, buksan na yun sakin after 1 year (17 months warranty); baka kasi kung kailan patapos na warranty eh tsaka naman tuyong tuyo na yung tubig hehehe
