another lockdown is out of the question for the US
that's why they're rushing vaccine development (Operation Warp Speed)
their gov't is practically saying there's nothing they can do about transmission just wait for the vaccine
in the meantime they'll accept / live with more coronavirus cases and deaths

Been reading and watching a lot about China's rise to power.
All of our media is really West-centric so it puts China in a bad light, but in reality they are such a good economic success story over the past 40 years.
In 2025 they'll be the world's #1 economy, and they'll do that without a world war, something that can't be said of China.
Also been revisiting how history is really shaped by the victors, but a critical review of world events shows how much of an epal the US has been to the world.
I'm actually excited for this new world order where lax Europe and narcissistic US will fall.

you do realize this is a heavily pro-US/anti-China forum right?
hehehe
Yup. I'm very open to have an intellectual discussion to understand why they people are anti-China but have not held the West accountable for all the crap they've done over the past few centuries.
Yes for sure China's lack of liberty and political freedom is alarming, but so has the West's imperialism and colonialism. We have been victims for so long but have never gotten the reparations we deserve.
I also want to delineate between China's economic progress and their geopolitical policies.
This doesn't mean that I support China's encroachment on WPS or Duterte's asslicking of China. I'm not naive to think there's anything we can do about China's dominance in all fronts - but if we will ally with them, let's at least get a good deal out of it.
China will become the world's #1 power - the Philippines should be strategic enough to put ourselves in a better position in this new world order instead of giving up all our aces for nothing. It's not about China but really just being strategic with the powers that be.
If for example it wasn't China but Germany or Russia who'll be the next superpower, then we as a country should be strategizing to take advantage of the power shift to get us to a better position.

Not to be ano but I'm a Christian kasi and all of these are beginning to resemble prophesies long outlined in the Bible.
Interesting that you mentioned Germany. Sabi sa sa nabasa China will rise to superpower status but not the top spot. It will be a European power lead by Germany.
