When fast food franchisees start going bankrupt...

Pizza Hut and Wendy’s Operator NPC Files for Bankruptcy

Restaurants are facing new pressures with the temporary closures of locations across the country to stem the spread of coronavirus. The drain on revenue has been too much for some, causing them to file for bankruptcy protection. Recent filings include CEC Entertainment Inc., the parent of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza, and the U.S arm of Le Pain Quotidien. Greenwich, Connecticut-based Eldridge bought Le Pain Quotidien out of bankruptcy.

WOW. I thought fast food restaurants were not affected. My friends and I have food delivered pa rin kasi (love KFC!) Sometimes they would refuse kasi full na slots sila.

I wonder how milk tea establishments are doing (kags I miss you!!!)

kung walang costumer, for whatever reason, including non-access to them-with-the-wallets,
    wala na ngang business.
they're probably just cutting their losses.

madali naman mag-bukas ulit, kapag meron nang costumers...

For sure recession yan. -4.8% sila in Q1. Definitelt Q2 will be even lower. So 2 straight quarters of GDP decline = recession.

Wala pa lang official Q2 GDP data but I'm sure most of the world will be in recession.
