In terms of local automobile industry, how do you think this pandemic will affect the prices of cars? I plan to buy a new car after the quarantine is lifted. Should I wait for prices to go down? Is it projected to go down?

Nope. Even if all ends well which i know it will, dealers have to stick to a certain profit margin.

Most they can offer is fixed cash discount, low DP, or freebies.

I suggest you compute everything properly before you pull the trigger.

Minsan ang freebies wala pang 20k, dami ng nauuto.

During the 90s financial crisis, car prices went down by 20%, could this just be dealers profit or the car manufacturers gave huge rebates?

    This one's for the US...

They might just sweeten the pot but not really lower prices as margins are already low anyway... Minsan iuuto ka na to get these sweeteners typically freebies or cash discount dapat in-house financing ka.

Pero you must compute the value of the whole loan to see the total cost and subtract the freebies to see how much you're really paying vs bank financing or cash.

this is how the Fed supports companies during this crisis

afraid that investors won't lend to companies the Fed promises to buy corporate bonds

confident that there's a sure buyer investors buy corporate bonds to sell to the Fed
