finally, nagawa ko rin paganahin ang gps ng 5800 ko. yun nga lang, very sad to say, nokia maps are not detailed. pero good news is that, may garmin mobile xt para sa mga 5800 users.
question ko lang, may philippine map na ba ang garmin? how detailed is it?

metro manila is quite detailed and usable. overall, this is the best (and only) garmin map that I found. Works great on the 250W that I am using.

well, if you are planning a trip... you can let it lock on it's current position (your trip's starting point) on the night before. Otherwise, you just have to wait in your car for it to lock on its current position.
Honestly, it's not really worth the effort to "pre-lock" the GPS the night before just to save a minute or two.Last edited by ghosthunter; March 26th, 2009 at 10:52 AM.

You can accelerate satellite acquisition time by clicking on New Location and click on the part of the map where you are approximately located.
